The Big Birthdays

My birthday is still a ways away, and I'm three years still from thirty. On my thirtieth birthday I am going to go skydiving. Not just me, but the kind where you are attached to an instructor. I'd be too scared to do it by myself. Of course I have to say, if I get married in the next three years and have a child, I don't think that will be the treat I give myself on my 30th birthday. But for now, none of that seems to be in my future. But I wanted to do something to celebrate making it that long, although 30 is young. But I've been through a lot, and want to celebrate. So I am putting back all my mylot money in the next couple years to put towards being able to do that. Do you make special plans for 'milestone' birthdays or even anniversaries? Have you done something like that for your past birthdays?

For many years now I spend my birthday with my best friend 200 miles away from me. We don't do anything wild and crazy but it's a special way for me to celebrate...This year I couldn't do that but went to her house in June.....she always makes a very special supper.....and I am too old to celebrate by skydiving! LOL......

Nah, you're never too old for anything. Except, no strip clubs. I'm afraid you would get out of hand.

You know those dancers. They just don't know how to keep their mouths shut. The one who played the fireman said he had to hose you off! : )

I wish that I could be so adventurous! I had my daughter on my 30th birthday. Well, not on the exact day. But in my 30th year, two months after my birthday. It was the best gift! She's amazing.

I'm still trying to organise something for my husbands 40th next year. It's a pity all our immediate family live so far away and it's just us here in the US. There are a few things he would like to do but that would depend on our finances considering New Years day (which is his birthday) is an expensive time to travel anywhere (especially overseas). As for my own birthdays, it's just another day and the fact that I get to spend it with my hubby and son, makes it all the worthwhile. The last time I organised a big celebration with friends and family was on my 21st birthday and that was years ago.

That sounds like fun Ambie..I use to want to go sky diving, but I did get married and had kids, so I never did..I don't make plans for the future like that, but I do dream..:)
