Hi, all my friends. I found that most of people in my place keep fish in their house. They have many purpose keeping fish in their house. The purpose are can give them a luckiness, becauser there are lucky fish call "Arwana" in Indonesian language. Beside that it because their hobbies, favourite pets, and to make their house become more beautiful. So Do you keep fish in your house ? If yes, what is your purpose. If no, what other animals you keep in your house. Thank's to willing your time in here reading and responding my discussion.

I have a small aquarium in my house and I have only 1 goldfish in there. This fish was there since my son who was attending his Kinder attended some school activity got this as a token for attending this school activity. We have to buy him an aquarium for him to be comfortable. Till this day this fish has survived it all. We tried buying another one so that he would have some companion but it always end up that the one we've bought would either die but this fish we got is so strong that he never have any sickness and survived just being alone in his aquarium.

I really don't think so since we don't do much maintenance on it. We even left that for a week or so without feeding it since we went to vacation somewhere else but when we returned back he still lives ans is very much strong. I guess we're just given a very strong willed pet.

hi winzpc, i always wanted to keep an aquarium in my home. but my parents never allowed as it's a lot of work to keep it clean and all. i have heard that by looking at the movements of the fish, the tension reduces to some extent. my brother used to keep an aquarium in his place which had a lot of varieties in it.

Yes, we have 2 aquariums in the house. The big one contains 1 flowerhorn (about 10 inches long) and 6 red pacu (about 12 inches long each). We installed a glass at the center that serves as the divider between the flowerhorn and the pacu. Then the other aquarium houses about 17 pcs of gold fishes, different size and colors. Well, it is very relaxing to watch the fishes swim.

I don't keep fish although they are lovely. I can't really take care of an aquarium at home as I am so busy already. I'm afraid the fish will die sooner or later. But we do keep dogs. We have 2 dogs who serve as our guard in the house. They are better than real security guards I think. One time we forgot our front door and we left it open for the whole day and there was nobody in our house. We all went to work. Our dog did not leave the front door. He was like a valiant soldier guarding it from any one who would invade. See how great a dog could be. So we love our dogs. They are serving us so well and of course we feed them well too.

That's good too. You have select the dog become your pets because you don't want your fish die. Thank's for the share.

We have fish in the house, actually lots of them, because my brother really likes animals, dogs, turtles, rabbit, horse, salamander, birds, fishes, you name it. We have 1 fish in a big aquarium in our dining room, one fish inside his comfort room and another one inside his own room. All the 3 fish have their own aquarium. I don't know if he has a purpose for these fishes but He likes animals ever since we were young. If there is a real dinosaur , I bet we will have one in the house too. But I also heard that if you have a fish at home or in the office, you have more luck and success in life. Or anything that has water on it like small fountains, pond etc.. they say it brings luck and success in a family. I'm happy my brother likes fishes, I am too lazy to feed a fish and especially clean the aquarium. I'd rather clean my own tub in my toilet. hehe But fishes are nice to look at , it is sometimes relaxing, the longer I look at the fish , it just makes me sad, all by herself inside the aquarium and can't go out into the real world , it's a sad boring life.

Hi Winzpc:) I used to have fish but they all went belly up when my daughters friends decided to change their water. I have no idea what they did to the water, but now all I have left is my little water frog. The frog who's name is Oliver is a hardy little fellow and he has outlived his life expectancy by about 1 year. I guess it must be his diet of goldfish food, which he supposedly can't eat according to the pet store. He is an odd little frog.

I keep tropical fish at home not because of some lucky charm but because watching an aquarium is relaxing to the eye, an interesting hobby. Although you have to clean the tank, feeding daily etc you require minimum time compared with other hobbies

We do. :) We've had a fish tank even before I was born. My mom even calls me goldfish when I was younger coz she happens to be fond of those when she was preggy with me.

Some of my friends would like to feed some fish in their house, say the fish needs water and the water would bring the fortune together``hoho`~I think it's beautiful to have a huge amount fish in house as they're lovely and you can relax while watching or feeding them. However,I've not keep fish in my house due to the lack of space for them and supporse if I move to a bigger house,I will think about it`~lol

I have two large 100 gallon tanks but my reasoning behind them wouldn't be luck. I just happen to find them very soothing and tropical. Makes all the difference in your house. Luck? I wish that were so:) because if that were the case my two placatomouses wouldn't have went belly up just yesterday.

My experience with a fish at home wasn't lucky at all. We got our son a goldfish for his birthday. We took great care of it. But the stupid thing would eat the rocks at the bottom of the bowl. Needless to say one morning I got up and the fish was upside down in the bowl. I was actually surprised that he wasn't at the bottom of the bowl. A different fish might be better.

We used to have fish years ago , a Calico Ranchu , a couple of Fan Tail goldfish and a Koi . I was devestated when we lost them as I really did think the Calico Ranchu was such a beautiful fish and the Koi was just different and the goldfish were pretty but when they did we didn't bother getting anymore because they were hard for us to get in the first place as you can't buy fish in our area as they don't sell them ( not as pets anyway lol ) . Today we have three cats , one full grown , Tyco and two kittens , Shyra and Montanna . When we had our fish we had fish , two cats and a dog .

I used to keep some gold fish in the small fish bowl, but unluckily they would not stay alive for a month. It is not easy to keep gold fish for a long time, but I still love them.

I keep a small fish in my room which I catched in the river. It is not beautiful and even ugly. I don't know what kind of it,but it bring something to my room and my life really. When I come home afer work, it is happy to see it swimming freely.
