I own a laptop instead of a desktop. Find it more covenient and handy in owning one. Well it also depends on your purpose of using it. It may be for work or just simply surfing or leisure. Just recently bought one and its a Toshiba which is really neat because it has a 3.0 gb of RAM. According to others this certain memory is quite huge for a laptop. What about you? What brand do you currently own? Is it a desktop or a laptop? Are you happy and contented with it? Or are you planning to replace it maybe for quite sometime?

I bought a Lenovo almost 2 years ago now and I love it. It isn't stylish or flashy but it is a solid performer. I use it for work and have probably 4-5 programs running all the time and it has been running great. I have noticed recently that it is struggling to keep up so I may have to increase the ram.

I have a 3-yr old ACER laptop w/ only 1.6 ghz & 512mb ram. But recently I purchased a HP desktop w/ Intel core2duo 2ghz, 2gb ram & a Macbook Intel core2duo 2.4ghz 2gb ram.. I am happy 'coz the new units are a lot faster than my old ACER laptop. I do a lot of surfing the net, chatting, & downloading movies with them..

I only have the Macbook but you'll love it just well. It's a great machine & because of it I even regreted buying the HP desktop PC. I should have gotten the iMac desktop instead. Anyway, I hope you achieve your goal as I did.. hehehe..

Yeah Sony Vaio is really great. My aunt was given by sony because they're the sponsor of my aunt's artist here in the Philippines. What's weird about my aunt is she is a mac user. So after, a couple of days she still purchased a macbook pro which really made me drool because she let me use it and discover the features. All she uses is to check her mails and view some pictures. The vaio is still around and I sometimes use it. Its neat.

Mine is a laptop, NEO also. It's a gift from my aunt. I'm not very familiar with the specs but it works well for me. I always wanted the black MAC but now I'm loving what was given to me. I don't think I'll replace it yet. I'd say I'm very happy and contented with my laptop. It's like my per. LOL.

Yeah you are gwapa.. Neo is neat and if you are planning to buy a mac, you can purchase that as soon as you use up the one that is given to you as a gift. Call me superstitious but it brings goodluck because you appreciate and treasure what was sincerely handed to you. You'll never know maybe she might give you a MAC someday. Keep em' posted. Thanks.

My first laptop is ASUS. Now, I own a local brand Neo. Bought it 2 years ago but specs are still ok. Ram is 512, Harddisk memory is 80 gig. If I have the money I will probably upgrade to a 2gig ram with 160 hdd. Your laptop specs are great! Wish I have the money to buy that. :-)

Thanks. I just bought it at a sale in the u.s. Original price is 1,700 dollars. I got it only for 800 us dollars. My first laptop wa neo that I bought for only 30k pesos. Its actually a gift from my aunt during my 30th birthday. I sold that for only 15k to my bestfriend. You lose some, you gain some. Cheers.

I own 3 laptops. An Acer , a Toshiba and a Dell. I'm most impressed by the Toshiba. I got it on sale from Best Buy for about $600(including anti-virus and anti-spyware and extended warranty)I would buy a laptop every few months if I could, but finances are tight now ....so I gotta hold off. I also own a Desktop, a Dell too.The desktop is more of a workhorse though than the 3 laptops,it can handle pretty much anything I throw at it. To all those looking to get a great laptop but want the option of layaway, check out: www.elayaway.com

My house is heavily populated with laptops. I have one that I use as a normal laptop in that I carry around with me to class and to work. I have another that used to be my main laptop, but the battery has gone bad to the point it will only run 5 to 10 minutes. I use that as a server at home with a built in UPS. My fiance also has two laptops one old and one new. Between the two of us we cover 4 different brands, alienware, Lenovo, Sony, and HP. The sony is the newest and would probably be considered the best right now, but the Thinkpad is my daily laptop and I love it for the features even if it's getting old now.

I own a laptop and a desktop. the laptop i own is compaq. i purchased it at the beginning of the year. this is my first laptop. its 1.8ghz AMD turion64 X2 with nvidia graphics and wifi enabled. origianl product came witha 512kb ram, but i bargained for 2gb ram without additional cost to me through the dealer. i feel 2gb RAM is a must and should be the basic minimum when you buy any system. It had Windows Vista Basic, but from day one it troubled me. so i switched over to XP and my work goes smoothly without any problems. I am happy with the configuration, because i insisted on having an AMD processor. if you are using windows vista 2gb is a must and going forward you will have much bulkier OS from MicroSoft. Hence your 3Gb will save you a lot of trouble in future. its better to look a few years ahead rather than go for unwanted upgradations every 6 months. have higher RAM and bigger hard disk space with a 3-5 year outlook. i intend to use my laptop for atleast 3 years before i look for anotehr one. also i have an extra slot for memory upgradation up to 4gb.

i own a acer aspire laptop, and it just a celeron but it works really fine but last 2 weeks i had to re-formatted it becoz it was infected by a virus and worms.I really prefer a laptop rather than a desktop coz it's mobile. You can bring it anywhere and get connected since its WIFI enabled. As for now i'm happy with my laptop, it has been 3 this 18 september. My father bought it for me fo my birthday.Maybe i'm looking for my second laptop would be a 7" screeen acer. it is small and light for me to bring it along for my sales purposes.

Now, I own Toshiba Portege M200... It's lil bit oldfashioned but still works for me... I'm very happy with this laptop because it can perform very good operation, even if it's RAM memory is only 512 MB... Now, laptop's RAM is about more than 4 GB... I don't think I will replace it for quite some times...
