Does change stress you out?

Do you feel anxious not knowing what is around the corner in life?It is unreasonable to expect the world to adapt for you; rather you must change to fit the world. Life is without a doubt, unpredictable. While it is natural to desire stability and consistency, life simply doesn't work that way all of the time. People pass away, financial situations change, relationships end--all without our consultation! The best solution is to develop a sense of humor and flexibility. Continue to set long-term goals, but keep your options and means for achieving those goals adaptable, just in case life decides to throw a wrench in your plans.

Life is really unpredictable. We experience happy and bitter moments, and unexpected events in our lives. I have had heavy hearts and emotional exhaustion that made me so stressed and depressed and dwelt on, but realized they won't do any good. It was my family and true friends who I turned to. When all is gone, your family and true friends will always be there for you. In this life, I somehow learned how to be optimistic. "You must not under any pretense allow your mind to dwell on any thought that is not positive, constructive, optimistic, kind.” Have a wonderful day msedge!

Hi Msedge, I don't like change but I will accept that it has to happen and will adjust the best I can o unexpected ones in life that do occur. I try not to stress over anything much these days and it only makes me ill and doesn't help the situation. I make short term goals on the way to the long term so once a shorter one is achieved it feels like I am getting somewhere as the path of long is not a stright one so you will always get a blip somewhere that takes you off the path for a while and feeling a bit lost until you find your way back to it. Ellie :D

I am one of those overly neurotic people who plans for ANY EVENTUALITY!!! My husband used to think I was just nuts until something happened that he had a hard time coping with, but that I came through just fine, because I had a backup plan. Because of that backup plan and his trust in me, we both came through the change with as little stress as possible.
