Information technology is a classification term that defines all components of the system that gather, share and store information, A computer is a component of the IT division. Other component are the network devices(routers,switches,hubs,etc), communication devices(modems,PBXs,etc), storage devices(optical drives,mass storage drives,back up units,etc) etc...

Hi Dalianju. The computer is the presentation component of the Information Technology Infrastructure. In general terms it is comparable to the Jet liner in the Transportation Industry. More specifically, it is like the Telephone in the Communication Industry or the car to the Transportation Industry. Happy MyLotting....
