Here in the philippines rice is produced by farmers by plating them in wet lands which is in our local term called "pilapil" and then visit it everyday because pests might be damaging the crops so they would spary insecticide and then wait for about four months so that they can harvest the rice,Btu it is not always that easy because when a storm passes by our country the crops get damaged and they have to start from scratch. So how about you?how are rice produced in your country?Have a nice day.

I am from India.Rice is one of our staple foods.Farmers here use traditional methods with mix of modern technology to produce rice.In traditional way farmers used to plough the fields using bullocks but now they use tractors. And then they wet the farmland and plant the rice plants and they look after their crops from pests and as in Philipines there are no storms but the heavy rains usually brings floods which ruins the crops.
