I am Irish, German and Cherokee on my mom's side and Irish, Cherokee on my dad's side. I do love everything Irish and most things about my German heritage however I know very little about my native american heritage. So do you embrace your heritage? What is your heritage?

I'm Irish,German, Apache and Sioux. I only know a little bit about my Native heritage, a tad more on Irish, and not much about my German. I love that I'm such a mixed race person. I'm also proud of the cultures that ended up making me, however little I know about them, in the end of the day.

That is wonderful. My mother's maiden name is Mcgee should be the first clue as to my heritage atleast in part lol. My maiden name is Allred. I remember looking at pictures of my paternal grandmother and she looked so much of my cherokee heritage my paternal grandfather was irish cherokee and he had startling blue eyes so does my dad. I love my heritage but granted I could learn so much more about it.

If you look at my avatar and username here on mylot, you will get the answer to your question. :) I am Danish on my mother's side, and Canadian on my father's side. My husband is Russian-American. We both believe in embracing our heritages, and our household is a combination of all four, with a little Croatian and Serbian thrown in there, just because we are so interested in the culture.

Yes of course I do. I am Sri Lankan and I am proud of it. Every man should be proud of their heritage. Embracing the heritage make the person to become patriotic and work towards the betterment of his or her nation.
