Does anyone out there still own a SodaStream?

I remember my mum buying one when they first came out and me and my brother's loved it. I don't know what happened to it, either we used it so much it wore out or my mum decided to get rid of it because it just wasn't good for our health because we drank so much of it. Anyway, when I saw one up for grabs on our local freecycle website, I jumped to it. I was so happy when I got it home and to find it had a cylinder still in it and another spare plus two bottles. Now I am having awful trouble trying to find a stockist that sells the flavourings let alone gas. Now I know why she was giving it away and might put it back on freecycle for someone else myself.
Do you still own one? Are you having difficulty getting what you need for it? Do you think they are more hastle than they are worth and it is just as easy to buy a bottle of pop? Does anyone want a SodaStream with two bottles and extra gas cylinder?

I've never even heard of the SodaStream, but it sounds intriguing! Is it a machine to make your own soda? It sounds fun, but like a hassle. You might as well just go buy a bottle of soda by the time you find all the things you need for it.

Yes it is a machine that makes soda and you can buy various flavous etc. It does work out as more expensive with the sodastream as the flavouring can work out to be a bit pricey and also you have to buy the gas cylinders for it which are also expensive. They are fun but expensive machines. I have decided to get rid of mine!

If you look on the sodastream website then it will give you the nearest supplier to you and you can also buy products from them online and they will deliver direct of course. My friend said that she is going somewhere today where she thinks she can get hold of stuff but we'll see.

Mum used to have it when were young school children. I used to look forward to return back home so that my mum could make me a coke drink using the soda machine. I think that nowadays is more convenient to buy the drinks instead of making them yourselves but thanks for remembering these sweet memories.

Hi Humbug, I love Freecycle and also used to love the sodastream and did have one up until about eight years ago when I moved house but Robert Dyas and Tesco sell the cylinders but you can order the concentrates or find where to get them from www.sodastream.co.uk Have fun with it as they do some incredible flavours these days. The only one I could never drink was the coke, it always taste like the cheap stuff they don't even make anymore LOL. I am about to list a leather suite on my local Freecycle as it has been very kind to me. I even got my new puppies dog bed recently from there. Don't give it away order the bottles. Ellie :D

I did check out the website actually and it looks as though the nearest place to get stuff from would be in Braunton but I will have to call them to see if they do the flavours. Yeah freecycle is great, got rid of a printer today for my friend and I have even picked up a car. I started a discussion freecycle about a month ago and got quite a good response.
