i love reading books and before da vinci code was filmed i already read that book. I guess i'd rather read a book than watch it. how about you?

I also prefer the books the reason being they are far more detailed and interesting also. I mean you get to know each character inside out and every event is described while the movies just don't match the books' quality and detail.

I love doing both. It's because you get something out of reading that is not the same as watching and vice versa. I have also read Da Vinci Code and I am convinced that the book edition is of course far better than the film when it comes to details. But in fairness to the movie, I think it won't really be able to fully show the whole details as in the books because of the multitude number of details that they have to consider. Tom Hanks was the perfect actor to do the character also. When you read a book, you benefit on the imagination and the facts and trivia which are incorporated on the story. But on the movie, you get more of the visuals and the drama because you don't have to imagine anymore, it's already being fed in front of you.
