hi my friend ganesh, i can recommend you skype.com for this is the only one i know for having a great video like you are seeing him/her in personal and the voice is very clear.

Well I feel yahoo is the best. NOwadays people call icq and skype as good but I have no idea about those. May be one day I will try the above two.

Yeah I have just been reading though the replies here and everyone is saying that Skype is a good program for chatting but to me I get the same feeling as you that it is only for people that you already know and you ask them to join and chat to you, it doesn't look to me as if it has a public chat room?
