have you changed your support to a different candidate after looking at Mylot?

I wanted to ask a question to Mylot members. We have been debating political issues for some time, but I wonder if you have ever switched support (from McCain to Obama, vice-versa, or to a third party candidate) after reading the political discussions on Mylot. I may be wrong, but it seems to me like most people have made up ther minds on MyLot. Have you ever been persuaded by the arguments to switch support to another candidate? Personally, I try to make sensible arguments and contributions (though I can be robust at times when it comes to Iraq in particular), but I doubt I have persuaded anyone to change their views. Have you been able to? I enjoy Mylot political discussions and have always tried to keep discussions civil and have found the vast majority of Mylot members to be polite as well, even if we disagree. Look forward to our political discussions for the next few weeks!

I think it's great that many of the political discussions are held in a professional manner instead of by attacking one another for having differing views. I would hope that discussions on a website would not affect people's voting decisions too much. By saying that, I just mean that I hope people are smart enough to check facts and to evaluate answers before believing in anything or changing beliefs.

While I haven't changed my choice, I've been so angered by the mudslinging, lies, clinging to myths, etc., that I wish there were a viable write-in candidate, or that we could vote for none-of-the-above, so they'd have to start the whole process again, with better candidates. Of course, that's not satisfactory, either, because we'd have to endure more terrorism from the current crop in Washington.

Hi Evan. I agree that you've always been very reasonable on here. I started out on the fence and have said about a million time by now that I'm still on the fence but Sarah Palin has just about knocked me off of it. Some of the information I have learned about her has come from this board. My opinions about a few of the issues regarding both her and the Democrats have been shown to be in error by some posts I've read here and I'm thankful for that, and any accurate information that is provided.

I have not changed my support because of anything said at mylot. I had to change when Hillary dropped out. I often have wondered how many undecided voters have decided who to support.

I have not changed my mind. I am pretty stuck in my ways. i am will to read anything i see on here. I might not be able to read everything that is posted but i read what i can and comment on what i can. I picked my candidate 4 years ago and i am sticking with him. I think some people on here are out of control with some of their views and where they get their info. i am sure some people will say that about me but i dont believe it until i hear it come out of the donkey or elephants mouth. I do know someone that has changed what candidate they support and i think mylot helped a little but i also helped a little. :)
