And it was great. I don't know why I hadn't seen it until now.I am old enough to have seen it in the theater but I never did.It must have come to cable many times , but i didn't get to see it until a few days ago.It is one of those great John Hughes teen films. It was casted well and was well acted. When did you see Sixteen Candles?

I saw it when I was little like 6 years old on TV. Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Fast Times, Hiding Out, St Elmo's Fire, Pretty In Pink, etc. I saw all those around then first. Those were the movies, man!

They are what I call " Thinking Man" teen films. They are funny without being silly and they have something to say instead of being just a stupid gross out film.

Funny, but I never got around to seeing that. I remember when I was in my early teens, it came on TV, and my overly protective mother told me it was unsuitable for someone my age, yet I read a reference to it in a book, and the person watching the movie was a year younger than I was. LOL That was the last time I listened to my overly protective mother. haha But somehow I still dind't get around to seeing the movie. I'll have to rent it, though.

It isn't too vulgar or silly and it is suitable for anyone 13 or older, especially today's 13 year old.
