What do you write to test a new pen that you buy?

I have heard that people tend to write the name of their most beloved one when they buy a new pen. Is this true? I don't really know and I am not a strong believer of this but I would like to know if there are very many people doing this.

Try writing the word "little" with your pen. Whenver, I buy a new pen, I write the word "little" because it has the most twist and truns in it. The exact durability, finishing and performance of a pen is tested by writing in twist and turns from it. After that, I write my name, if the pen didn't stuck any place while writing, then its a good pen.

i remember my mom taught me this one of never writing any body's name whenever buying pen. so i always write the alphabets or try drawing lines with no specific direction.this is a way of testing the pen.

It is important to test a pen before buying it... in my case... i don't really write anything... just scribble some lines... and sometimes my nickname... But right now... i have a lot of stock in my office so it has been a long while since i bought my own pen...

I have never written the name of my beloved when buying a pen. Its usually some scratches or my signature. Funny part of buying pens is also the paper I have seen really bad pens write smoothly on glossed paper and we feel great. When we try it aat home on ordinary paper, we feel cheated. its happened to me, so now I am more careful.

I write all sorts of nonsense. Sometimes a name, or a signature. Other times just random thoughts that come to my head, like a shopping list, or say - my favourite TV show or band at the time.

I don't remember the last time I bought a pen actually but I am sure that most of the time I would have written my own name or signed my signature every time I was checking if the pen worked.

Hello,Sivan! Whenever I purchase a pen I test a few pens in the store itself putting my signatures in a piece of rough paper and which writes better handwriting I select that to purchase.I don't mind for the cost of it.thanx.

I usually write my name or my signature. But more often I draw some circles or some other geometrical figures. Or simply draw lines.

i don't do that, because i don't like my name,, but i remembered my several friends did that before, and they will write so many their own names, it is strange, but i think most of people may write that. nowadays we call for paperless office, so we get less chance to use pen to write now. but i still like using the pen.
