Okay, while I was out yesterday at my daughters to get my brakes finished (correctrly) I stopped atr Target on the way home. I figured I needed tio shop to relive some stress. Hahahaha! Not a manly thing, more like a woman thing. But hey, I love to shop now and then myself as well. So I bought myself a pair of new warm and fuzzy slippers. These I will not be qwearing outaside at all. I hope not to anyhow. I also bought my wife her insolses for her work shoes and also some razor blades for me. I like when it is crowded as I am also a people watcher. As long as they stay out of my way I am fine in a crowd. I also love to window shop alone. Not with my wife, but alone. No idea as to why I just do. Do you shop to relieve stress? Do you just like shopping? Do you prefer window shopping? Do you like crowds when shopping? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

Glad you got some new slippers. I have shopped so much this last year related to work that I really do not enjoy it much. I love to go in very early in the morning whenever possible. I like home improvement stores for shopping LOL. My home needs improvement. I really like to take a whole morning and shop at a large Goodwill Store. Like to find treasures. I want to be alone then, not in a hurry at all.

I like shopping. Except with my wife. She can shop for 4 hours and get just one thing after deciding between 25 things. hahahaha! I love Home Depot and Lowes even for just window shopping. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

New slippers are ace, I love the feel of them on my feet. I am not much of a shopper, probably because I never have much money to really shop! Plus I hate being in crowded places, I think I end up more stressed than destressed, I am not much of a window shopper either, I do not get the excitement of window shopping, especially if I cannot have it!

These are a bit warm for this time of year. but a sprinkle of baby powder inside and I am set to go. My window shopping is basically comparison shopping. I window shop for things I'll buy in the near future. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

Hi Grandpa B, ohh...that is cool! I love shopping and window shopping too! I love it when it is crowded and like you I enjoy watching people but when I need to buy something and I am in a hurry, I don't like crowds..LOL! I love to shop when I am alone in that way, i can roam around the place without thinking that my companion is bored or tired already following me but when I do window shopping, I love to be with my hubby!

I like to shop when I'm stressed out too. Most of the time I don't end up buying anything but I do like looking around the mall and the sale racks.

I have never liked to shop except I can remember a couple of times that I actually did enjoy it. First time was when we were buying new furniture for the very first time and another time when I actually had some extra money at Chrsitmas time to buy my children what ever I wanted to when they were very little. I do not like big crowds, they make me feel too anxious. When I do have to go shop I do not like to do it alone. I tend to do a lot of shopping online. Glad you were feeling up to going out and shopping after you have been sick and happy that you got your new "house" slippers, now let's see if you do just use them in the house. hahaha

We buy most our furniture at auctions. So not much shopping involved there. I have been window shopping a couple months now for an HDTV. Will be getting that and a surround sound system very soon as well. I am feeling a bit better today. Still a bad cough but the cold is easing up for now. Thanks also friend. I like those fuzzy slippers, they are cute, I don't do much shopping, but if it is something I need I will do a little shopping, as for a crowd of people I don't like crowds, too many people everybody in a hurry, and they are acting as if you are in their way when all the time they are in your way too.

GB You sure did buy yourself some nice looking slippers. I hate going shopping when I am stressed especially when the stores are crowded.Crowed stores make me even more stressed. What helps me with stress is walking outside or riding my bike. Sometimes even drinking a cup of coffee helps,

I love to shop for my craft stuff - but I really don't care for shopping most of the time. I have to be in the right mood - and I prefer to shop with a friend. If I want to people watch, I don't want to be shopping too, I have been known to go to the mall and sit and watch people, but not often.

I don't go people watching as much anymore. My fave p;lace for that is thwe Mall of America. Cost of gas makes it less likely I drive there as often. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

Those slippers sure look nice and comfy....and you better not wear them outside or else... Nah, I'm not much of a shopper...on-line shopper yes, but in general as a store shopper nope...I really don't mind crowds just as long as it's not mobbed and like you I like to people watch. When I do shop though I too like going alone...that way I can pace myself, take my time and not have to worry about where or what the other person wants to do or shop at

I doubt I wear these outside. Too comfy and nice to do that. My wife is the type that can spend hours in a store getting one item. So I avoid xhopping with her. The grandsons graon when they are told they are going shopping with grandma. They usually ask to stay with me. Hee hee hee! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

I only like to shop when I am with someone....it's more of a search and rescue mission then. I really don't like crowds but if I am with someone it's much more fun. I get too tired running around..luckily when I am with my younger sister she is alot like me.....we prefer to sit someplace and people watch like you do....sucking on a diet coke while we do it!

Hello Grandpa Bob. Yeah, I also love window shopping, but I prefer more to do some shopping when it is necessary for me to. I think that shopping is very relaxing to me because I usually go shopping when I am free either after work or on my day off. I love to spend some time in the local malls and choose something that I need...Good day, Grandpa Bob.

Bob you have touched on one of my pet peeves. I hate to shop, alone, with the kids, with friends, hubby, or even in my dreams. It hasn't always been this way, I used to love to go out and just browse, look around, even if I didn't spend a penny. Then we moved back to NC from SC. When I left my hometown in 87, it was still a nice quite spot on the map where you knew your neighbors. We moved to an even smaller town in SC where my hubby grew up, it had one stop light in town, they rolled the sidewalks up at 9 PM. So 10 yrs later, we came back to NC OMGoodness Charlotte, had gotten so crowded the influx had started moving to my town 30 miles North. I knew from visits we were growing, just didn't realize how much until I actually moved back and found out how much housing had gone up, and all the farm land was turning into housing developments, where did my small town that I loved go? That was in Feb. of 97, come December and Christmas shopping it really hit home how much my town had changed. People were packed in the stores like sardines. I always loved to shop on Christmas Eve, that was my special little thing, well let me tell you, it wasn't special anymore. I went out like I usually would, around 5 pm, or so, it was a mad house, then the thing that turned me against shopping happened! I was standing at a table looking at some tops, a woman came up, grabbed the top from my hand, and actually pushed me away from the table. Now Bob, I am a mild mannered lady, and it is hard to rile me up, but when you do, it is like turning loose a bull in a china shop, I don't realize what I am doing until it's done. I had my fist back getting ready to coldcock her when whoever was with me grabbed my hand. Now I shop on-line, and I am happy as a bug in a rug. No lines, no pushing/shoving, better prices, and no rude sales people to deal with. It has to be an awesome, can't do without sale to get me in a store during the busy season. I only go any other time if my kids need school items, or to grocery shop. Now you know my deep dark side. Blessings Marilyn

Glad you got some footwear, those ratty old things were looking pretty sorry! What are you going to do with them? I bet you could find some way to recycle them into something different. They'd make great seat belt pads. Yes, I love to shop alone. I usually don't buy anything, I go with a list and rarely deviate from it. But I like to watch the people, too. I especially like it at Christmas time.

I used to go to Walmart when I was stressed. I don't know why. Even when I didn't buy anything, off I'd go when I got stressed out. Now days it seems I gravitate towards Borders if I'm a little stressed out. It's just too bad I can't go on a spending spree, although I know that wouldn't solve my problem. But a nice pair of fuzzy slippers is a good start for anyone!

Awwwwwwwwwww...warm fuzzy slippers. You sure deserve them, Grandpa Bob. Better not wear them outside or they will become yucky sticky smelly slippers real quick. I don't mind shopping but hate crowds so always go when it's not too busy. I hate waiting forever in lines as well. My fave type of shopping is just going to Walmart or Kmart and looking around/playing with all the toys and not actually buying anything. We do that late at night when the stores are just about empty so we can drive the stockers bananas. lol

I tend to go for walks when i stressed or horseback riding...shopping makes me stressed. Too many people...plus i hate spending money. I know a guy that every time he is stressed he makes a big ticket purchase. He went for a job interview for a promotion a month or so ago and right after he purchased a boat. This spring he purchased new cupboards for hte kitchen...mind you his wife wanted them but he never buys anything big like that unless hes stressing about something

I think your the first man I ever heard admit that he likes to shop..lol. I know my husband doesn't not with me anyway, one time he went shopping with me and my cousin, he was walking around there like he was going to die. He asked me, don't you know your supposed to go eat before you shop? I guess he was hungry..I don't like shopping that much, but I do find that it is a stress reliever, I think I would rather window shop too, and I don't like crowds, but like you said, as long as they stay out of my way, I'm alright.
