We have two cats. A few days ago this black kitten showed up at our house. He came in while the door was open. I put him outside, but he kept coming back in. He looked like he hadn't eaten in weeks, so we gave hime some cat food we had that our cats wouldn't touch. Ever since then, he has stayed on our porch. I don't know who he belongs to. Dad thinks someone abandoned him.

Sometimes cat wonder by themselves and other times they even managed to say goodbye. We had a cat that just wonder on and off till the day he has not come back. I am sure he has another home as he come back clean and fat. I am not sure why cats are like that. And while it is truth that sometimes people abadon cats, other times they just leave because they love to wonder and I guess other people need them more.

Our cats wander off, too, but they always come back.

Now that you have fed him, he belongs to you now! How very sweet. Soon he will be part of the family and spoiled like the others and persnickety about his food, too, just like them, eh?

awe.. Looks like you got an addition. If you have room for one more why not! The poor kitty was abadon and he/she is probably so hurt from being abandon.

I think you do, too. He sounds very cute. Please have him neutered as soon as you can. He seems to have come to the perfect home for him. What are you going to call him?

he may have been abandoned. if so, he may think of you all as his saviours. I have a new cat, and she would not come to me at first due to being scared. but some extra cat food reassured her. now it is as if i have a shadow around me sometimes.

I have heard that if you feed them they will not leave, I have never been to fond of cats, but I am thinking of getting one now, I don't have any pets as of now. Pets are getting more and more expensive to have these days. You have to take them to the vet, you have to have them vaccinated. I don't really have the time to train a pet. I wish I did. Maybe when I retire and have the time to spend with them I will get me a pet.

He knew who to come to, though, didn't he? Poor baby!!! Many cats can sense where to go for help. Whether it's the smell of other cats or just a feeling the get from the people they see there, they just seem to know. I would welcome him in while letting local vets and shelters know that he showed up in case someone goes looking for him. If you have a regular vet, see if he can scan for a microchip just in case. But, that's good that he found just the right place to go.

Awww poor kitten. Its great that you are feeding it. We found a little grey one in the ditch along the highway and took her home. We tried to find her owners because she was a very very friendly kitten but no luck finding them. My sister was thrilled to keep her because badger got her momma cat and the male cat we had.

Hi Bd200789, Poor little thing, I would keep the kitten and if someone ask then you'll know they have lost a kitten so mean while just keep him/her indoors with you, so sweet. Tamara
