When visited Japan, almost everybody really enjoy looking Mt.Fuji from a far. Have you been to Mt.Fuji or they call it as Fujiyama or Fuji-san?. Many tourist visit Mt.Fuji at Station 5 by bus. To climb Mt.Fuji, it's quite easy. Starting at station 5 to station 10 (the peak). I have been there in 2006. Japanese said "If you never climb Mt.Fuji you are fool, but those climb it twice are double fool". Mt.Fuji can be climb only in summer, i.e July & August.

Mt Fuji looks amazing! http://www.placepictures.com/link/901a7709 I want to see it someday. Plane tickets to Japan are so expensive, that's why I have to save up a lot before I get there. Have you ever climbed mount fuji? I'm a very adventurous person and I'd like to try mountain climbing soon. We have our mountains here in the Philippines too but we don't know how high they are - unlike the Japanese' knowledge of Mt. Fuji.

There are many cheap flight to Japan. Even if you take Japan Airlines (JAL), you can get it very much cheap if go with group of 15. The expensive one is the airport tax. The other alternative if not in group is Thai Airways. BTW if you're in Philippines, why not try climb Mt.Kinabalu in Sabah?. It's veru famous of tourist since it's the tallest mountain in South East Asia. However Mt.Fuji is much easier than Mt.Kinabalu because the track up and down are super ready. The reception for cellphone also full bar all the way up and down. You can make video call very clearly. There are many mountain huts whereby you can rest, have drinks, food or even sleep. Yes, I have been there and every year our Alumni conduct a trip to Mt.Fuji.

Nope. I haven't been in japan, but I hope someday I can, and I really wish to see the Mt. Fuji, because they said it was really amazing view... By the way, does it have a story or something?

Japanese believe in Shinto as their religion. Shinto teach them to obey to the nature like sun, mountain etc. Mt.Fuji or in other word Fuji san is one of them. "San" is "Mr. or "Ms" for western. So you can imagine when the mountain also be called as "Mr." then. p.s I'm no expert in Japan nor Shinto. My writing above is based on my shallow understanding only and no further reference. I have many Japanese friends in my country and go to Japan almost every year. Four of my son have foster parents in Japan.

Are you been to the peak of Fujiyama?. may I know what year?. The caretakers of Fuji-san awarded the climber with certificate since 2007. I climb in 2006 and didn't get the certificate. However the cert just for foreigner only.
