tip of the tongue phenomenon.....

Well I experience it most of the time, specially here in mylot when I want to say something and the word would not come out but I knew that the word is almost at the tip of my tongue I shake my head most of the times and still nothing came out and then moments later or days later (after a lot of torture to my hubby to remember it and he too will be infected by the tip of the tongue phenomenon) I would suddenly remember the word out of nowhere

I hate that. Its like your brain all of a sudden shuts off and you need to restart the whole thing again. It is really frusturating and happening more and more. I hope this isnt what it will be like forever.

That happens to me all the time. it happens to my husband too. We usually end up remembering whatever the heck it was at 3 AM, and then waking the other person up to let the other know that we finally remembered whatever it was that was on the tip of our tongues. LOL Drives us nuts when it happens.

yes I have dont that and drives me crazy till I remamber it.

I also experience the same way that my mind would like to tell it about but is my tongue who is holding it back and does in one single moment afterwards I do remember it......

hi,Zelmarq!I believe everyone has experienced it more or less.and especially when speaking in a foreign lauguage.and another interesting thing is that when I am putting in words on computer in english I sometimes find the word just in my mind but I cannot input it correctly,but i can write it down correctly on paper. have a nice day!
