Some of my favorite street foods include fish balls, squid balls, isaw and taho. I just make sure that I don't dip it in the sauce where lots of other people have dipped theirs in. They say it's one of the biggest sources of hepa and other diseases. I stopped buying street food after my cousin told me of how he ate too much street food and was hospitalized because the food wasn't clean. Just be careful when eating street food. Cheers!

you know you're right. some "sensitive" people do get hepa from street food. regarding the sauce, the street vendors have become aware of how unhygienic it is to dip your fishball again after biting it. a lot of the vendors don't allow this anymore and would just serve you the sauce that you want.

Yup! It's a good thing too but I still see a lot of street vendors that allow people to dip. Especially in the Mandaluyong area.

I only eat street food when I'm in the mood. And those are my favorites. That's true that dipping sauce is the biggest source of hepa. But here in our area a lot of fish and squid balls vendors don't sell that way anymore. Now they use styro plate where we can put our fish and squid balls then we will pour the sauce on top of it.. A lot more safer than the old way.. Hey migsmartinez your my best respondent.. Congrats.. he he..

I like "Balot". This is the only street foods in the Philippines I like to eat. Among others, I don't because afraid to get salmonella and other germs outside.

Hello there warrior! I really like street foods, from chicken intestine to pork intestine to blood, to balot, (ironically my kidney has a low tolerance on its kind of foods and I suffer before from Typhoid fever) To keep me from buying street foods I cook my own. sometimes me and my siblings would have a street food party, we'll buy chicken feet, chicken intestine pork for barbecue, blood, sticks and coals. I know how to prepare almost all kinds of street food because my grandmother taught me (more on force me to) I also know how to prepare fish ball sauce, so whenever we crave for that kind of food we just buy fish ball in the supermarket and feast on it, take us away from contracting hepa A.

FISHBALLS! Yummy... It's so amazing how after all these years, it remains to be a popular streetfood. What is more amazing are the stories that relate to fishball vendors whose kids are able to finish college because of this business, and those whose lives really improve simply by selling fishballs. So it is not just a popular streetfood, but one with a lot of tales to tell.

I remember years ago we had a festival of food here in Melbourne and they had a lot of street stalls with international foods, it was wonderful going around ans tasting all the different foods from other cultures, I had food i had never tasted before...but one thing I do remember was the best spicy pumpkin soup I think it had a thai flavour to it, it was delicious...

Me too..i like street foods, although i eat it when my mom is not around because she's so meticulous about how clean the food is before eating it. I go for bbq, fish balls and balot. My brother is big bbq eater that we have to remind him about intestinal illness all the time, good thing he listens and lessen eating bbq. But what can we do, its really delicious.

Hi there Warrior! My favorite street foods are Squid Balls and Fried Siomai. It's just sad that there isn't much street food vendors here in our area. I think there's only one which sells barbecue.
