I play a little of the guitar and thouroughly enjoy it. Never had any formal lessons, but have the ability to play by ear. Started young when my dad bought a 12 string yamaha guitar and started playing some christian songs, imediately fell in love with it, and took the initiative to learn up myself. I can't say i'm good, but ok for someone who have never taken any lessons, can strum, pluck a few nice songs. Wish to have proper lessons one day, hopt it is not too late

Diana Krall - Diana Krall enjoying the 2008 Jazz Festival!!!
I never could master the guitar. I played the piano & even taught beginners for several years. Now I don't find the time to play. I love listening to Diana Krall do her thing instead!!!

It's never too late to learn my friend! Providing you have the enthusiasm and the patience to learn then you can do anything. I wish I could play or learn an instrument but I don't have the intelligence and I was put off learning at school because my music teacher was a bully! I really admire those than can play musical instruments.

Lol, well to be frank, when it comes to more complicated equipments, you really need good "ear". it is a music term, and apparently, not everyone has it. Those who doesn't have the "ear" is referred to as "tone deaf".

I also play the guitar. Yes, the guitar is a wonderful instrument to play. It also can be played with any type of music be it soul, jazz, ballad , etc. Good luck with your lessons, I am sure you'll be able to become an expert in no time at all. All the best.

Well, good for you. Sadly for me I can't play any instrument. I hope I can but i am to lazy to learn, haha. My mom wanted to me to learn the piano but the piano that we are suppose to buy did not made it to our house. So that's the end of my music career, haha

I play the piano a bit, not perfect. Started learning the keys by trial and error. I can play very simple tunes only.

I've played the trumpet since I was in school. I put it down for a few years but picked it back up again. I love to play but as I've gotten older, the high notes have gotten harder to play. I get it out once in a while and blow a tune. I love it!!!

I play the guitar - ever since I had lessons when at school. I'm not great, but I can play most simple songs. But it cheers me up to play - usually just to myself though. I think music is wonderful, it has a power to calm the inner soul. I want my children to learn an instrument and my daughter wants to learn the flute but between the cost of the flute and lessons it's all a bit beyond us at the moment. I hope to be able to give her that love of music before she is much older.

I play guitar and so do most of my friends, i have one friend who never had a lesson in his life and is going to be a major in music for guitar, he cannot even read music well, so essons dont make you that much better in his case, you just have to practice constantly, i mean i know he spent like almost all his free time just doing exercises on youtube to make himself better

I play Pennywhistle! It's an instrument used mostly in traditional Irish music, but also in scottish, welsh, english, and American. ^_^ I've been playing since I was little, though I'm still not all that good.
