What is your dominant hand? the left, the right or both? I'm a right handed person and I've been thinking, how can I learn to use my left hand for writing etc. I also know of some people who are both left handed and right handed, is there any way to obtain that? I think majority of the people are right handed, yet I don't know the reason for it, do you guys know? Thanks and happy mylotting!

There is a scientific reason but I cannot remember. But I know something for sure. That is if you are right handed you should never try to change it. Specially with babies and kids. Parents try to train left handed kids to right handed which is very unwise act. That effects their brain. I am right handed.

Wow, I didn't know about that! Science never really fail to amaze me. I guess I'll stick to being right handed and make the most out of it.

i am left-handed in hand-writing but in work i use both.. people do notice it especially if i change hands when using the hand hammer or hand saw.. i write in black board with my right hand, i find it easier here.. well i don't have explanation why i am left-handed, we are 4 sibling and all are left-handed while both of our parents are right-handed..

Wow looks like it is not hereditary for as you say all of your siblings are left handed. Maybe it is just on how we are born and what we start to use when we are born that determines whether we are left or right handed.

Hello,Don! Both hands are important for me.But most of the activities are accomplished by the right hand.I eat and write in my right hand.I was a left hand bowler and batsman when I was playing cricket during my college career.so both the hands are of equal importance for everybody.Don't underestimate any one of these.thanx.

Good to hear! I guess although my right hand is more dominant my left hand is still important, because it acts like a support to my right hand.
