Well I am watching the news (CNN) and it has Obama's rally in florida on live. He was talking about the market crisis and then about a dozen African American gentleman stood up with signs and were protesting. I have no idea what about. They just stood there with their signs. But they got kicked out. I could not read the signs very well. They the lettering was too small. But I could see on a couple of them the letters "KKK". Why in the world would they use that on their signs to protest Obama? Anyone else see this? ANyone know what was going on? What were these guys protesting about? This does not make any sense to me. Maybe when I get all the facts I will.

That was a different rally. CNN later went back after this live really was over and talked about the signs. They said "the KKK endorses Obama" and "Al Sharpton does not like Obama" and something about the family poverty act being bad. They call themselves "Blacks against Obama". Now that I know what the signs said I am not going to take them seriously. They obviously just wanted alittle time on TV and they got it. I hope they know their 15 minuates of fame made them look like fools. Of all the things they could protest against, they picked some pretty dumb things to put on their signs.

Lilwonders, I didn't think there would be two such protests at two different rallies! My bad, I just assumed this was the one you were referring to.

From what I have read online, it actually looks like there have been a lot of protesters lately.

Rodney did a good job at finding a link to this story, but I will go a little farther with this story. The sign said “Barack Obama, what are you going to do for the black community?” This was the second time Obama has been protested by a group of African Americans demanding to know what are you going to do for the black community, and Obama for their sake has not answered their questions. My question to these protester would me what more do you want. How much more should the federal government continual to bend over backward to help out the African American population? Really this is a question that needs to be put to bed. I do not fell sorry for African American communities, and I am tired of hearing from politicians that do not want to be labeled a racist kowtowing to their never ending demands. When will the African American communities realize that it is their job to succeed not my job to prop them up with my money.

That was a different rally. The one today was a bit more contraversal. They were holding up signs saying "the KKK endorses Obama". And other outlandish things. They got kicked out of course. As for the other sign about what are they going to do for the Black community. Well I have to agree with you there. All americans need to realize that it is not the governments job to take care of them. It is THEIR responsibility to take care of themselves. Want a better life? Earn it, just like the rest of us do.
