becuase the stupid ones are easer to answer and ones that are real are just to long to read or its to hard to think of something.

I respond to my friends if they are stupid or not cause they are my friends and if they are stupid they are easier to answer and it is easier then looking for something to answer .

I believe so many good discussions get skipped past because of all the conversations starting at the same time . If there was a way to get rid of the ones we knew we were never going to respond to or the ones that we have already responded to , I believe it would help in finding the ones we would prefer to answer to . I have responded to discussions that were not all that great for the simple fact that I was unable to find one that would require more thinking as I will wade through topic after topic and keep finding the same discussions so it is just easier to respond to what is there then taking an hour to go through all of them finding one that I woudl like to respond to .

Some people like to answer easy/stupid questions and some of us like to take part in interesting discussions. There is room for both on myLot. Many new users don't understand that responding with a few words does not earn money at myLot. Discussions that don't invite good responses will earn very little because they will only get poor quality responses of one or two lines. If you ask good questions you get better quality responses, you can make friends with the people who respond, and then in future they are more likely to take part in your new discussions, and you can take part in theirs.

Hi, new friend and here's answer to your question, my guess as to why people respond to stupid questions on mylot is because the stupid questions are more fun and easy to answer then the more serious ones, and the so called stupid questions tend to be more light and dosent create a lot of conflicted opinion's and people are less likely to get angry.

"Stupid questions" are not always within guidelines, though. They may even get deleted. It is true that they require less thought, and so can be answered quickly, with very few words. The problem with that is that short answers do not really earn much.

People will respond to stupid questions because they do not want to have to think. The way to get more responses is to request more friends. Any time you see someone who has content you like, ask them to be your friend. It really does not matter a whole lot how many responses you get. The first response is the one that causes you to earn on the discussion. Another member tells me that if you make a good comment on responses in your discussions you will also earn that way. I was not aware of that, but he says he asked MyLot in a personal message and they said that it was true. Do not worry about what others do, or answer, you always have the option to respond to as many people as you have time for. Do you have any unresponded discussions?

It is easy to answer inane questions. The other questions require much thinking and they take much musing. I have a very good post that so far has got zero response, but you really have to think to answer it. But if I write a fluff post, then I get a lot of responses. Trouble comes when I give the comments. It is hard to write a comment of more than four or five sentences on fluff posts. Mind you there are some posts I cannot answer, but usually I try to look for urls that explain more about them and then I can at least give an answer.

If it is a stupid question then give a stupid respond. That particular post deserve an equally stupid respond. Sometimes when I am tired of using my brain cell I would just go for the stupid posts and mind you I do get credited the same as the one that I have to exert my ideas to respond. So let there by some flexibility here for those that needs easy responding.

I think it mainly depends on ones definition of a stupid question... it may be stupid for you... but quite relevant to others... and some might think that this is a stupid discussion... but i don't think so... that is why i responded... Stupid or not... it is still a question that can be answered... and it might even garner a lot of intelligent answers...

mattcassethan hi some of us are just lazy and only read as much as it takes to answer a stupid question, while the good ones go begging. also a lotof people are not into reading, but just the quick zap zap of texting so that anything that actually makes us think is bypassed for the discussion equivalent of texting, the stupid question ones. do you like frogs as opposed to have you ever seen a flying frog and do you know what makes him able to fly from one tree to another? now you did not have to use but a couple of brain cells on the do you like frogs? but you actually had to think about flying frogs?

i think its about give and take you need to take care to respond to other peoples discussions build up a relationship and post genuine discussions. I will often pick and choose how i spend my time here often focussing on discussions by people that i feel i connect with and who create interesting things to read/post on. Therefore this doesn't leave much time to search for other discussions by other people. I tend to respond from my email notifications the majority of the time and these are only from friends i haven't noticed that the stupid questions get more responses but i do think thoughtful and funny disussions are favoured as people enjoy them more and thats what alot of them are here for.

It's not like that.Usually many people have many questions. So they post topics ranging from basic to advanced.I respond to such discussions which i like. Also many newbies here need the help of other mylotters.
