Warlock / Doro / Doro Pesch

If some Mylotters on my friends list that are fans of heavy metal may have noticed, I left comments featuring this blonde lady singing & screaming her heart, blood, & guts out - carefully selecting something that each person who I was leaving a comment would like.
Like the Scorpions, Accept, Rammstein, & ... a surprisingly few other heavy metal bands, she is German. She started actually started off as a model, & then as the lsinging for Warlock, & then later on, continued as Doro.
Does anyone have an opinion about her or her band? Or maybe a favorite song by her? If you have not heard her, you can probably go & see where I left comments on my friends' profiles & give a listen.
By the way, she has been called the "Queen of metal" - so if it's too loud for you, you now cannot say I didn't warn you.

I wish I had seen this discussion earlier! I love Doro and I was a fan of Warlock back in the 80's.
Just so happens that our current guitar player, Randy, (not the one in the videos on my profile) played with Doro/Warlock on part of a European tour back in the 80's! He was working for a promo company here in the US who was doing some work for the band. Her guitar player at the time had to go on hiatus due to health problems. They didn't want to cancel the tour so they put out the word that they needed a good guitar player ASAP. The promo company heard about it and Randy jumped on the chance. It was also good business for the promo company so they flew him to England. He tried out, they liked him so they took him out on tour for 3 months.
He said that it was really difficult because they were all so stoned and drunk most of the time that they were hard to work with. But he just treated it like a job, did the 3 months and came home.
But we've got him now and he doesn't mind working with blonde female singers..

Speaking of keyboards, Ronnie James Dio is a keyboardist. When he first started his own solo career, he played the keyboards on his first albuim, & then had to hire a keyboardist for his tour, because he did not like the idea of being confined behind keyboards on stage.

i remember doro pesch-i saw warlock live many years ago,she had (and still does)
a unique,great voice.to be honest,i like some of the german lyric versions than the english.something about it just sounds more metal

Uh - did you go through my friends list to see who I commented? 
There was one that was sung mostly in German that I used. If you're thinking of that same song I'm thinking of, I agree that it does sound more metal.

Oh WOW! Thanks for putting that on my profile!! The words you typed underneath just seem so suiting, LoL.
I'm not really a heavy metal fan, so I never heard of her. But I love her voice!! And personally, I just think it's so awesome to hear her speak in German!

Well - with the fights & spats we were involved with on MyLot, that particular one fits the message we were trying to send. Yeah - she's German, & also has done a few songs in German - one of them that she sung mostly in German I had put onto one of the other profiles.
She does have a Bonnie Tyler / Kim Carnes type of a voice, but I think her voice would outdo both of them.
