Do you find Final Fantasy XII difficult?

Final Fantasy XII team - All main characters from Final Fantasy XII game. Balthier is my favourite but Fran and Ashe are great, too ;)

I've been playing FF XII recently (at least:P) and I must admit the game is not easy. I've payed other Final Fantasy games before and this is the first one that bringed me problems with going through the dungeons, caverns etc. In FFX or FFVIII the only real problems I got were bosses but in Twelve I was actually killed quite a few times before reaching them. And then the bosses were not so hard. I was surprised by it but on the other hand that makes the game so much mor enjoyable in my case. It's because I need to be focused on the game all the time and I don't have a feel that there are parts of a game that just are, like in FFX when I was moving form point to poin and in between all was only to level up my characters. And what do you think about it?

I loved playing FF12. I did die a lot, but I just leveled up my characters whenever that happened. I also liked the side quests. I liked the new battle system, I preferred it that way. I was so obsessed with this game that I think I played at least 5hours a day!

Final Fantasy XII is one of the most challenging games I've ever played. I guess the main reason why I found it so difficult is because of the battle system which is so different from that of other Final Fantasy games before it. I'm slowly getting used to it, though. Also, I find it kinda hard to keep up with everything, even using a walkthrough. It seems that there's so much to explore in the game that I usually get sidetracked and end up forgetting the main mission I'm on. Granted that I've only played a little of it so far but I'm looking to try to get farther into the game when I have the time. =)

I find FFXII entertaining but not challenging. You see, with proper gambit set up, you even need to press any button anymore. You just roam and level up your characters like a kid, no challenge at all. Some of the boss are hard where in you cannot rely on gambit but those are the sidequest parts. The story for me is good, I really find Baltier as one of the coolest FF characters around ^^. And the graphics are superb, its like playing an MMORPG with your PS2 without having any lags ^^

I didn't find it too difficult overall. Some of the optional bosses were quite hard, but that's expected. In the beginning, it was pretty rough, because it took getting used to, but once I got the hang of it, it got easier, unless I got careless. It can be a real challenge if you want to complete all the Hunting Missions. I didn't do that.

I found xii to be extremely difficult as well. The Hunter-sidequests i found to be brutal! like you said, though, the bosses were not that hard. I thik what makes the dungeons so hard is that you just get swarmed some times where as boss battles there is only one enemey - the boss

I've only played a little of Final Fantasy XII, but yes, I found it extremely complicated. I'm sure I'll get a hang of it eventually, but the gambit system and the real-time battles take some getting used to, compared to a lot of the turn-based or strategy RPG games I've played before XII. It's a welcome change though. :)

Hey Pompon! Well, as a huge fan of the series, I'd have to agree with you. The level of difficulty and complication of Final Fantasy XII is almost incomparable to its predecessors. I've never seen such complicated Final Fantasy before. It has so much in it that it would take a really long time to get a good hand at it. Unlike the previous Final Fantasies where you could almost master the game after finishing it twice. But again, it is very much enjoyable. There are so many things to do. It makes it more interesting for me and still heck of a fun game. Take care!
