admit or not things are not quite easy to earn big here in our country, many people resort in going out of the country to find a greener pasture...some did make their fortune while others are not..our country has been many times salvage out of financial crisis due to the remittances of more than a million ofw's around the world..how about you are you planning to go abroad for work and what country do you prefer best.

Me and my wife are trying not to get separated because of work. We are looking for any opportunity that would allow us as a family to go abroad if given the opportunity. I also would like to leave the country because of financial reasons but I would not like also to leave my family and kids for the sake of money. It is hard not to see you son growing without a father/mother to lean on to and the money that you've earn to give them a better life but the price of that is you son not being close to you emotionally but financially and that hurts too for me.

opportunity cost is the name of the game,friend..if you want something you might lose the other one, that is the very logic of the situation if you go abroad..but if not you might say rather that its hard to see your family being deprive with the material and financial wealth that you may give them if you go...well i think thats the reality of this issue...thanks friend for such wonderful comment...

Yeah that is really true about opportunity cost both have some benefits and a price to pay. I also am weighing things I want that if we decide on things we decide as one not one has to sacrifice for the rest. That is really hard for a family man who loves his family.

If given the chance, why not? But on a condition that we go as family. I prefer Canada, New Zealand or Australia.

Well, I think most of Filipino people really dream to work abroad since we all know that earnings here is not that easy compare in abroad.. So, basically I really want to work in abroad.. It is not because I want to earn big money but I want to experience the culture of other countries.. It is not all about money but I want to learn so many things about other culture and most of all to deal with them.. When I was a kid, I want to go to Disney Land to see my favorite cartoon character and up to now I still wish to go there.. So, if ever I will be given a chance to go abroad definitely I'll took it.. I won't skip the chances going abroad..

well if i ever in my life got an opportunity to work abroad i would love to work in Germany. and what i believe is that the one who leaves his country for a better living earns a great respect not only for himself but also for his country so, not a bad deal atleast for me

I would love to go abroad and work there for a living. That's one of my goals in the future. In the meantime, it's better off for me to stay here in our country and enjoy some more time with my family and friends. I already received several offers to work abroad before yet I rejected them all.

I already had the opportunity to work abroad for two years... and the best thing about it was that i did not pay a single cent to the placement agency... but i did not earn that much... but i was still able to save... i decided not to go back there because i want to have a baby... because i was already in my early thirties when my contract ended... and now that i have my own daughter... i cannot just leave her... so my husband is the one working in another country now...

Well, I really don't want to work abroad. For as long as I can make it here then I will stay here in our country. I had many opportunities to work abroad but as of the moment I just can't see myself working out there.

If only I can go abroad I would love to so I can help my family. There is no opportunities here that you can earn big unlike in abroad there is a possibility that you can give your family a comfortable life. I think going abroad had a disadvantages and advantages. You can give your family a comfortable life but you are far away from them.
