Have You Sent Anyone in the Family to Homes-for-the-Aged?

My father is almost seventy years old and my mother is almost sixty. They're still living in our old house and yes, I have not sent them to a care-giving home for the aged. Although facilities like that is rarely found in our place, I still would not send them there, I'll take care of them personally if I need to. But thanks God, they're still very healthy and in fact, they can still travel long distance travels from time to time. How about in your place, do you have facilities like these? Do you have someone in your family staying in an elderly home? Any advantage or disadvantage? Your thoughts may be helpful to many. Thanks in advance.

No, and i will not do it even though there is facilities in our place, i will not let other people take good care the security and the health of my family, taking care of the old ones is the right time to repay the good things they did to us, i don't to be sent to home for the aged when i got old, that's the reason i don't like sending the old ones to that facilities.

Yes, exactly the same thoughts I have! I don't want to see them getting older in an unfamiliar environment surrounded by strangers. Thanks for sharing!
