My 3 sisters and I are very close. We schedule sisters event, do sisters dinners and once a year we take my mom and neice with us and go on an outing. This year we are going to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland Ohio. We are going for a weekend. We are also going to a Craft Fair while out there. I am looking forward to this weekend just to get away and chill out with the girls. I can't wait for my daughter to be old enough to join us. We made the deal that the daughters have to be 21 to join in on our trips. Do you have any special things like this that you do with your sisters?

I'm envious of you Sunshine :) Sounds like so much fun. I have only a sister-in-law and she is in Kansas. The closest thing I have is my friends get-away. Remember- every year in November we pick and place and go. We shop though. Shop, shop, and more shopping. We haven't decided yet where we are going- I'm thinking up North this year. We went to Ocean City, Maryland ~ Pittsburgh, PA and Lancaster, PA - We are thinking Vermont or Maine this year. We always plan it around a country shop. You go and have a ball! I'm sure you will!

We really had a great time! We went to the Rock n Roll hall of fame. It was interesting...a lot more there than I thought. We spent the whole day Saturday there~ 2 hours would have been enough for me;) Then we got back to the hotel, freshened up and went to the managers reception. They had open bar and snacks for 2 hours~ we certainly had fun there. I think we drank enough to pay for the rooms! After that we went for Italian dinner....it was excellent. We were eating at 10pm though, and I don't usually eat after 7, so that was not good for my system. Then back to the hotel for the hot tub. The next morning we went to the Grape Festival at Geneva On The Lake. It was the best craft Festival I have ever been too. I bought a ton of Christmas gifts for my boys( they had tons of steelers stuff for cheap!) WE ate, ate, ate and shopped shopped shopped. It was a really fun time! btw....Lee took Taylor, Andrew and Amber to the Steelers Game on Monday Night. They said it was AWESOME!!!

That sounds like great fun. My sister lives 1600 miles away, so we don't get to do things like that anymore since I moved. But my oldest daughter and I are going to a scrapbook weekend retreat at the end of October. It is in Va Beach, with a hotel right on the beach. I am counting down the days! lol

I wouldn't mind a retreat right on the beach! That will be such a fun bonding time for your daughter and you.

At least you still can keep in touch with your sister. It makes it nice online. My sisters live in the same town as I do and we still communicate more online.
