hi mylotter friends, do you ever check carefully your responses only to hit the send response key only to find a really disatrous error. What was your worst typo error and how did you try to undo the damage? Did it change the meaning of your sentence dramatically?

I have done that a few times even though I do check it first before I hit submit and the only thing to do... well I do is to respond again, pointing out my error and apologise for it.

Sometimes, we JUST miss our own mistakes no matter how much times we check.

oh i'm terrible at the moment i'm concentrating so much on what i want to say i don't realise and then i post it and end up having to*correct* the mistakes. Last night on ellies discussion there were so many i just apologised instead of correcting them lol. Not sure whats going on with me lately but i seem to be worse than ever. My boo and his friend were talking about a lad they work with who does this all the time in text messages like he sends one saying i'm naked and he meant knackered poor thing. and i'm going to wacky wh*re horse when he ment wacky warehouse. I can't think of something i said so bad it changed the meaning of the sentence but if i do i'll come back.

I have noticed many typos just as soon as I hit the post response button, but I have never changed my life so drastically with only one little word.. Bet you gave quite a few people a good little chuckle.. Keep up the good work Hatley, I do so enjoy your responses..

Oh yes, indeedy. I've made some mistakes. I'm so imperfect that I can't even begin to tell which error was the worst. I will type my response, hit preview and not discover any glaring errors, then hit post. And some gremlins will have changed my masterpiece of an answer into something that makes little sense - in an instant.

Shucks, I make so many typos, I wouldn't have a clue which one would be the worst. I can say that most of the typos I have made through the years have been while typing to my wife, both before and after we got together. So, if it drastically changed the meaning of the sentence, then she would really let me know

Hi Hatley! I know what you mean. I don't know that this is my WORST typing error - for all I know, I might have one I'd be horrified to learn about. But, I have one that is fairly frequent and I sometimes have to wonder just how Freudian it might be. All too often I have inadvertently called myself a name when I was just trying to type my name. The name I end up calling myself is Weny. For some reason, I don't get the "d" keyed. I end up having to laugh because I don't know if it's simply a typo or my subconscious!!

Thanks, Patsie! I guess sometimes it pays to be a "weny", huh? Even if not on purpose.
