i have, and it even landed me in the hospital. i had diarrhea and actually only went to the bathroom twice, but i was so sick i passed out. i've survived having to go 12 times, and another time having diarrhea for 5 straight days, but i've never passed out because of it before. anyway, we think it's because some of the food served at the party we attended the night before was bad. a lot of people we knew who also attended the party got sick with diarrhea too. after i was discharged from the hospital, the caterer came to visit me, and as much as i appreciated the gesture, i was pretty miffed because she kept insisting that i only had indigestion.

I have before, but never had to go the hospital. I nearly passed out last night from food poisoning. I could have sworn I was going to, but I somehow managed to remain barely conscious. I wouldn't have gone to the hospital even if I did though because I can't really afford to.

I think that's the other way around. You pass out because of the stroke, it doesn't lead to a stroke. I've fainted quite a few times in my life (especially since single-tract fluorescent lighting that places like Wal-Mart use can cause it for me). As long as you know what caused it you're safe, it's when it's an unknown cause that you want to go check it out. Like if you're out in the sun and faint from dehydration you're probably going to be fine.

It's really good that you managed not to pass out since it is very dangerous. It could even lead to a stroke. This happened to the uncle of a friend of mine. I hope you're OK now!

yeah, the caterer wouldn't admit it either in my case, she kept saying that i probably just had indigestion and i was thinking, well what about all the other people we know and we don't know that got sick as well? did we all just happen to have indigestion at the same time? LOL

Luckily, I never had such experience before and I am hoping that will not be a victim of such. It was very obvious that your case was a food poisoning situation. I am glad that you are okay. It was obviously from the caterer's food considering that you were not the only victim. Well, it would have been better if the caterer admitted the problem. Of course, they would always find a way so as not to put their business in jeopardy.

Not food from a party but from a restaurant. My sister and I fell sick at the same time without even knowing that we were throwing up in different toilets. We thought it was nothing serious until she came into the room I was in and I couldn't move but I was sweating bad, and she asked how I was and I said I felt sick. Then that's when we concluded food poisoning from a snack we shared the day before. Thanks for the response on my discussion!
