A haircut__an arm and a leg

can a haircut cost one an arm and a leg? the answer is no for me, but "yes" for my wife. i have my hair cut every month, and it cost me 10 bucks each time, but my wife, guess what? her haircut cost 40 times as much as mine, that's around 400 bucks, just for her hair? it doesn't cost her an arm and a leg, but mine. lol

I only get my hair cut once or twice a year and I go to the cheap places so it only costs me about $15. I have a pretty basic style so I cut my own hair in between professional cuts.
I agree though about the price difference for men and women. It's not just haircuts. It clothes,personal care items,etc..for some reason the retail industry seems to think its okay to charge women more for the same thing that men are buying.

LOL, that's a question of exchange rate, in fact i mean 400 Chinese bucks, that's around 45 US bucks. but i believe it is a fortune for an average bread winner in any country. you know, to do a haircut for a lady in China now often takes 3 hours or more.

When I get my hair cut at my favorite place with my favorite stylist, the cut and style costs $35 plus tip. Unfortunately, I cannot always afford that, and sometimes I am forced to get a cut at those quickie/fast food type of hair style joints. Problem is that I'm 56 and usually they're all just out of styling school and have piercings and tatoos everywhere and have no clue how I want my hair.
