I recently joined an excellent site for people who love to read. There are various groups which you can join there. Also you can make new friends with similar interests in reading. I also like the feature that allows you to review books that you've read. The site is called goodreads.com. I have made a few friends and joined a couple of groups. It's a great place to hang out with book-loving people. Do you belong to such a site?

The only book reading site I have joined is Book Crossing, but I'm not very active on there. I don't like to get rid of my books for one thing. I did get a notice about a book released in my area yesterday. The book was by the same author that I was currently reading (I finished the book last night) and have two more of her books on hand. But the release came to me 9 hours after the book was released so I wasn't going to make the effort to go find it. There is also a kind of virtual book club on Facebook.
I will definitely look into this site (as if I need another site to join).

This site is devoted mostly to discussing books and authors, patgalca, and I don't think it involves the swapping of books. You should give it a try.

Yes, I'm a member of goodreads.com. I basically used it to keep track of books I've read, currently reading, and my to-be-read list. It is also a great way to discuss favorite books with fellow book lovers. I also get to read about what other people think of books that I read or plan to read, and even get new titles or authors.
I think goodreads.com is a pretty cool site.

Thank you so much this looks like a great site. I found a lot of books already that I have read. I rated and reviewed a few. I am not a member of a book site like this one but I am a member of a movie site simalar to this one. Where you rate the movie and give your review on it. I need to go threw my books to see which ones I have read and start trading them.

I just moseyed on over. And then I spent about 15 minutes there. I haven't jumped into reviewing books yet, but am taking advantage of the lists of books to read.
Then as surfing sometimes goes, I ended up at my library website reserving some of the reads. The interesting part of all this was that I found a couple books were available at the library as downloadable audit books. Now that is fun. I can sit and do some mindless surfing and listen to a book.
