So much for sleeping in this morning!

I had all these wonderful plans to go back to bed this morning after taking my daughter to school (30 minute drive one way). But noooooo.....the city is right outside my back yard cutting down these enormous branches from the neighbor's tree and they have the chipper going at the moment. That thing sounds absolutely AWFUL! Especially when they put bigger pieces of wood into it. I think I can actually feel the vibrations from it in my tummy...and I'm at the front of my house! So I guess I'll make the best of it and do some Mylotting and other stuff on the 'Net. So how has your morning been? Hugs to everyone.....Carryl

Hi Carryl, That really sucks, when 'we' plan on sleeping in, and something thwarts our plans. I usually have the windows open (still) this time of year, until the much colder weather sets in. While I like the fresh air, the outside noises often prevent me from sleeping later, when I do have the chance. Thursday is an especially bad day, as that's when our contractors from our townhouse complex, do all of the mowing, trimming, etc. Far too noisy! As it was, I didn't sleep well at all last night, due to a medical problem I'm having, and the fact that I just took my first treatment before bed. When I was 'ready' to sleep early this morning, the noise of kids going to school etc., kept me awake. I hope we both get better rest from now on. Take care.

That's a good way to drive you nuts early in the morning. We have the sounds of trash trucks early in the morning and all need brake fluid or something to stop the tremendous noise it produces. It's usually around 6am when it all starts. I also have one daughter who likes to call very early just to talk. It could wait until later in the day but she thinks I never sleep and can call whenever she feels like it. The phone always wakes me. She didn't call this morning so I was able to go back to sleep after waking around 5am.

The trash trucks around here have the loudest air brakes I have ever heard. And they sometimes get here at 4 am! This morning was actually very peaceful...except for my kitten trying to get under the covers to play at 5 am. I went back to sleep after that and didn't wake up until 1030! It definitely made up for yesterday. LOL! Big hugs to you hon.
