My husband and I are away from our children for quite some days now. And it is killing me softly. I could no longer take it not seeing my children this long. I misses them so much. In your case, for how long you can take of not seeing your kids?

It's really hard to adjust when you're away from your loveones especially when you already have your children. You can tolerate your longing to see your husband but I think it's harder to tolerate your longing to see your children. I'm also away from my family and I missed them too. I think the longest period I can take in not seeing my son is 1 week.I always want to see him and check if he's in good condition.

Yah, i agree. It is much harder of not seeing our kids rather than with our other loveones.

In my case i can take one day without seeing my son. I tried to left him for 1 day and 1 night during the time that i processed our visa in manila city. From the plane i always thinking of him coz he was 2 months old that time. I thought i can't be strong to leave him for a day. I always called my mom back home, checked him and wanted to hear his voice. Now i know how it feels to be a mother. Happy posting.

I don't know how long I could go without seeing my kids. Probably not very long. The longest they've been away without see them is over night when they stay with my parents for a visit. When I had my son my girls stayed with my parents for 4 days, but they brought them in to the hospital to see me so I didn't go that whole time without seeing them.

I have gone 7 days without seeing my son before. He used to go visit family and stay for anywhere from 2 days to 7 days. Not so much anymore, but he did go with my sister for 5 days a little over a month ago. But, my daughter I have never gone more than 12 hours without seeing.

Good for you & your daughter. At least, you haven't experienced being away with each other for days yet.

I've gone away for a week without my daughter and by the last few days i was depressed and my heart had sunk in my chest. The trip was wonderful and I did a lot of things, but the one person in the whole world I wanted to see the second I got back was my daughter. She always brings a big smile to my face.

I experienced the same thing, too. When I travel abroad for a holiday without my kids. The trip was really good but being away with my children was depressing.

I couldn't cope if I didn't see my children everyday although they are getting older now so I perhaps should start spending a bit of time away from them but I can understand how you are feeling if you haven't seen them for a while.

Adjusting to new situations, including being away from a children, is really hard to do.
