How bad are the drivers in your town?

I picked up my kids from school the other day & was turning right on a green light. For some reason, I looked to my left to make sure it was safe to continue. Good thing I did because a woman driving an SUV drove right through her red light! This would surprise me but not in my town. Something happens to me everyday that I drive. Tailgating, speeding, talking on the cell phone, failing to use signals, cutting in front of other drivers, driving too slow, etc. This is the worst town for drivers I have ever seen. I was wondering what you encounter in your town? How bad is it? Please restore my faith in humankind & tell me that there are good drivers out there!

Bad drivers are really common here in our country (Philippines). You have to be a defensive driver to save yourself from those dangerous, selfish, arrogant drivers. Some drivers don't even pay attention to the traffic light. There's not even a give and take when traffic light is down.
There are good drivers too but because the way some bad drivers act, the good drivers have to be always on alert and on the lookout to keep them from harm.

Wow, I guess I should appreciate the US more! Doesn't sound like fun driving in the Philippines. Be careful out there.

in our town!! bad bad drivers you have to save yourself as well as the other and if there is a collision then he will say "your mistake".. tough here but still the ratio of accidents and deaths is very low in our city by God's grace...

I guess there are bad drivers everywhere. We have a pretty high rate of accidents around here & our fair share of deaths. I'm in a city on the plains of Texas - lots of big trucks & SUV's. It's sometimes scary driving my little Mazda around here.

I think the drivers in our town are pretty decent drivers - I haven't seen too many bad things and we don't have too many accidents.

i wish i could say that drivers are better here but... this is the capital city of Romania... so things are not as smooth as one may hope. Some drivers drive to red lights here as well (i almost got hit on an Easter day 2 years ago), most drivers honk in traffic even if there is no need for it... and the list could go on but i guess you already realized that my city is not a good example for searching good drivers.
