Who do you think we need to sign in Jan 09 transfer window

After watching the 1st few games with all the new signings having played some parts in these games, it make me wonders if we are good enough to challenge for the title. After watching the draw game with Stoke City, i began to see problems similar to our previous few seasons. We are too predictable. We have no width. Rieria looks good against man u but against stoke, he went missing. i still cannot figure out why Rafa refused to play J. pennant. To me, he is a tricky player and a decent crosser of the ball compare to kuyt who is now playing right. I believed we need to sign someone penetrative in the mould of C.ronaldo, messi etc. to bring our title challenge to a reality. If not, we are likely to be fighting for 2-3 position again

dont really wanna see anyone come in january as it could unsettle some of the players in this important potential title winning season...

yes. we are creating chances and opening, this is the most important and we need a bot of luck to win games. as long as we had chances, we are in position to do well unlike those few years previously when chances were far and few in between

I think you're right.
We have a world class stickers but they can't do much because of the quality of passing of our midfield and winger. Gerrard and Babel are the only promising midfielder.
We need the like of Fabregras, C. Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Ballack and Lampard.
But I have a feeling that Liverpool will win this EPL this season should Rafa and the team backed by everyone.

yes, we were lucky and they were a man down so it was tough on them. they gave us a real fight and match us in all departments. But i am glad that we got the win and it is this sort of games that made champions so i hope we can end our long almost 20 years wait

Rafa had to play Kuyt on the right because he wants to accommodate him, Torres and Keane all together in first 11. If we looked carefully, we can see that Kuyt and Keane is the same type of player. Rather than someone unhappy, better for him to retrain Kuyt to be right winger.
