Another test passed.....

By my eldest son, yesterday he had to have a medical, this was step four of his journey into the RAF. He passed with flying colours, he said that not many of the group that were there passed, I think he found this quite surprising as they were all around his age. So he is medically fit anyway which is great news for him. His next step now, is a fitness test, and this is the final test for him to find out whether he is going to be offered a career in the RAF, the fitness test will be on Tuesday 30th September, so not too far away now. Do you get nervous when you have to have tests for different things? What is the worst test you have ever had? I mean for anything. Do you get nervous for your kids when you know they have tests to face? I get really nervous for him, such a horrible feeling!

Well that's really good news, i hope he does well in the fitness test too - it's really not far away now! They really make you work hard to get into the RAF though eh?! I have heard they offer really good careers so i hope he gets what he wants! I get nervous about all sorts of test, exams at uni, tests at the dr when i'm poorly, anything, i think it's natural though, we all have a fear of failure! It justshows you're a good mum because you care so much, if you didn't love him so much you wouldn't worry!! I have the best mum i could have ever asked for and i know she worries about me when i have to undergo anything like this! xxx

I think he will do OK, yes they do offer good careers he will do well if he gets in. I am one of those people that gets really scared before tests and I usually fail!

That is great to hear. The hardest tests that I ever had was in Geometry. I never understood that class at all. I get nervous for my daughter because she needs to make sure she gets her credits as she only has this year and next year left to get them, to be able to grasduate.

He is 16, he has not been nervous through any of it, I think I have enough nerves for both of us!

well good for him, I am so happy he is going to do very well. I can't think of a worst test, I have so many over my life it is hard to say what is the worst. I remember a breathing test, I couldn't breath as much or as hard as the technician said and that made me nervous, and then I hate mammographies.

The worst test that I had was my driving test. I was really nervous and anxious before the test. I still wonder up till this day how I did manage to pass the test.

That is great news! I hope everything happens how he wants it. It is so nice when things go right for people we love. I am not married nor a mother, but I get so excited for my parents and sister when they finally get something they have worked for. Like the last test my dad had before he got his Masters. I'm not sure who was more nervous: him, me, or my mom!

I am in college, and I only ever worry about exams and the like when I haven't put much effort into preparing for them. I know that if I work hard in my studies, I will be able to pass with flying colours, it's just that sometimes I get a little bit lazy (and I end up sitting on MyLot all day!) As for medical tests, I always get really scared whenever I have to have anything done, whether it's routine or otherwise.

Mylot is a pest for distracting people from other more important things! It is great fun though!
