This is a shot of my Seedums I have planted along the edge of my driveway. This is a fall blooming flower. I have two large plants in this area also. But due to the heat and sunshine all summer it bloomed earlier than normal. it still is attracting the honeybees etc for pollinating too. The pink is getting darker each day as well. I have never really smelled them to see if there is an aroma or not. Do you have any fall blooming flowers to keep color till the freezing temps come? Do you like seing the honeybees this late in the year also? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I have not seen many honeybees around here but the butterflies sure have been around so much lately. Butterflies and hummingbirds and the pesky mosquitoes.

The butterflies are done here it seems. I have not seen one for a week or so now. it gets chilly at night as well is the reason. The honeybees are sticking around a lot longer than expected. Havn't had many skeeters here. It's been too dry. No rain etc for them to lay eggs. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

You guys don't have love bugs this time of the year? How Blessed you are! They are little black and red flying bugs that is attached to each other at the tail, which i assume is the reason they are called love bugs.

That is so beautiful! The honey bees are having a ball in my roses right now. I can't even pick any without having to wait for them to do their thing and then move on to the next one. LOL

I am learning how to appreciate flowers which I never had flowers before this yard. I will respond to the photo when I post this email. I have been reading on what plants to plant to attract butterflies. I already have Lantana which comes in several different colors I have the orange/yellow one and a purple one. The lantana is perennial or a annual depending upon what growing zones you live in. I live in zone 8 or 9 depending upon which book you read. So it is a perennial but in places like where you live it would be an annual because of the hard freeze you get.

No I don't now, but I use to have marigolds that would continue to bloom very late in the season..So what you have is called Seedums? I haven't heard of those, but then again, if I were to see them after I respond here, I may know what you are talking about..

I do nto have any fall blooming flowers out this year. I used all artificial flowers this time because I just do not have the time to care for real flowers like they should be. I love them though and they are very pretty. I buy artificial fall flowers too though.

That is a beautiful flower. The sun has played havoc on my flowers this year. I have one lavendar sedum blooming now. I also have some volunteer waxed begonias that came up in my flower boxes that I had planted last year. I didn't get around to planting any this year; just waited too long to buy them. So I was thankful to see these come up. I normally have my retaining wall full of begonias. I have 4 long planters there and 4 small square ones on my front steps. These all came up in the planters on my front steps. I was shocked to see that they outlasted the winter freeze. A few came up very late in one of the planters on the retaining wall, but I don't know if it will make it to bloom before the frost.
