Frustration - Life can be frustrating at times.

Thought of the Day: Laughter and tears are both responses to frustration and exhaustion. I myself prefer to laugh, since there is less cleaning up to do afterward. -- Kurt Vonnegut I find it better to laugh at Life's frustrations, although not necessarily at the exact time they happen, but I will chuckle at them. How do you handle your frustration, laughter or tears?

I meet frustration by frustrating more the closest ones to me, so there.

I am beginning to think that, no matter the color, if they are my shoes you want them

Hi fwidman..sometimes I find it difficult to let go of my anger but after about 2hrs I normally calm down by listening to calm peaceful music..meditation or going for a walk and sometimes sharing my fears doubts and anger with a friend whom I trust implicitly as we have known each other for 39 yrs and she always has that calming affect on me..littleowl

All of those things are good for letting go of anger or frustration. Heck, those are good things even if you are not frustrated

I think I handle it in the most unforgivable ways which sometimes I am most disgust at which is neither laughter nor tears. But this is really good and I hope I can adopt this attitude.

Frustration may not be all that humorous at the time, but later, after you've had time to think, it should be Life is too short to spend it in tears, laughter is so much nicer

My dear at one stage in my life I used to love to laugh. That is how I received the nickname smiley but since recent events that I have encounter I don't see my laughing days to be any near soon. It is true though that there are times when you look back at a situation you will indeed laugh or cry over it because at that time you see the simplicity of it. Take care kerry

Hi fwidman, Oh, when I get frustrated I will cry and then when I'm calm down a bit I might just chuckle to myself to make feel better. Tamara

Hi, Tamara. Yeah, those frustrating things in Life aren't usually funny right as they happen. But, they may be later

Oh, its hard to laugh when we feel frustrated but i guess it is the right thing to do for helping ourselves.I've been through so many frustrations in my life but i am glad i was able to handle on them in the sense that i stay strong and healthy.I would think some might go crazy with the life i've been through but i am very thankful for the guidance of our Lord i was able to survive.

You always must remember that God will not put more on our plates than we can handle. Although how He figures that out when at times it seems the plate is way too full is beyond me

Depends on why I am frustrated. Sometimes laugh and sometimes cry. Sometimes start out crying but end up laughing.

Hi fwidman, I will cry when I am mad and pissed off..LOL! I do know but tears will just appear but when I am frustrated over something, work or people, I will just sigh and prefer to play my favorite game so that I can laugh with friends! LOL!

That's a good way to work out your frustration, playing games with friends and laughing

I think most people get angry, but after a bit you should calm down and look at the situation in a different light

I usually ball up my fists, then I try to find the lesson. I like to learn but I don't like to be taught.

I've never cared much for being taught either. Especially if the lessons are hard

Hey fwidman, I think that most of the time when I am frustrated I prefer to laugh if possible. I think I try to get myself out of it by doing something to take myself out of the frustration and into a place where I will maybe find something to be amused about like here on mylot for example. I tend to not cry as often as I used to. I do get frustrated but I get myself out of it alot quicker these days by finding ways to turn it off. Quite honestly, mylot has saved the day in alot of instances. It takes me away from alot of my frustrations and aggravations. So should I be paying them? No, I think I will continue to let them pay me! And by the way, I love the new shoes!

Thanks! Those are some cute shoes. Not exactly my style, but, cute nonetheless No, do not pay them, it's better the way it is, where they pay you

How do I handle my frustrations? I go into a frenzy and start talking to myself, I try to keep from saying a few choice or chosen words. It takes me a long time to calm down, in the meantime if some ones is near me they are laughing out loud at my actions and then I can't help but to laugh with them.

I generally do use those few choice words But, yes, it is easier to laugh if someone is laughing at the time
