Oh yes, I really do. When my hubby stepped out from the door going to work, he always lock the door and I am inside. LOL.. He reminds me all the time to always lock the door. I am just wondering why? it's not scary in our area, though our neighbors are like 500 meters away but I'm not scared of them?. The front and the back doors are always lock. You can just imagine how boring inside if there's no internet and mylot hahahaha... How about you? do you always lock yourself inside the house? Just curious to know if there are people here who are same as my situation.

not really, when i am just in the living room, i keep it open, no problem, but if i am in the bathroom or in the room, i would definitely lock myslef inside the house, i cant afford to have somebody coming in when i am not aware. there has been no problem with thieves in our area and our neighbors are also good people, but of course we should not let our guards down and we should always take precautions..

I always do something online. Yes, even then if I am online, I felt bored sometimes. I am not fond of eating too. I don't like the food hahaha... I miss the banana toron and binignit hahaha for snacks. happy posting.

yes, that's right just for precautionary measures. Locking the door doesn't do any harm than leaving it open for anybody to just get in. Have a nice day..

No, I don't ever lock my doors when I'm inside, I live out in the country and there isn't anybody around ever. I don't even lock my doors when I leave the house, we have enough dogs around here that if somebody came up, they will make such a ruckus, that it would chase anybody off, and if I'm home I know somebody is here when the dogs start barking.

I like it better if my front door is locked, especially if I am home alone. I feel a lot safer. Now it's just mechanism. When I close the front door behind me, I lock the door, without really thinking about it.

yep, locking the door will always five m peace of mind when i am alone in the house. No matter how safe is our neighborhood, we don't know if there are people raoming around looking for opportunities to do something? so it is better to have precautionary measures.

I dont lock the front or the back door if I am inside, only if it is night time, then I will turn the key,we live in a fairly quiet area here, there arent too many people around,I know that it does make sense to keep the doors locked, but on the other hand it could make you feel as though you were in a jail, sorry to sound depressing ,but it was just my train of thought.

hahahaha!!! I am not thinking that I am in jail because I can go out anytime I want. I just want to feel secure when I am inside alone. Jail is different because you can't really go out unless somebody will open the door for you, but in my case I can go out from the house anytime I want. I just want to be safe when I am inside busy with my work, I might not know who is getting inside when the door is just open.

hahaha that is funny when you yourself will be locked out!!! How did you manage to get inside? hahaha... Better take the key every time you went out from the house. some people are tying their keys and hang it on their neck like necklace. with that, you are sure of not forgetting it anywhere. Have a good day and happy posting.

No we rarely lock our doors , I only started even locking the door at night last summer . You never hear of break ins where we live because everyone knows everyone . I started locking the doors last summer when a convict escaped ( he was considered armed and dangerous ) and was seen about 45 minutes from where we live and I has said that we all feel so safe and secure where we live that it would be so easy for a convict to walk into any of our homes because we don't lock our doors . Mnay had laughed at me for being foolish but I had said we would be a great target because we are close to the road but completley isolated from the roads because we are in the trees . I didn't care , better to be safe then sorry right !!

yes, you're right!! bad people would always come to a secluded area not near the road because they would easily be found there. So, you are doing the right thing..!!! Have a nice day.

We always make it a point to lock the gate of our house because there are always people looking to steal something. This is sad.

If I'm alone at my own home, I don't lock my doors... When my daughter comes home from either school or from her friend's house, I tell her to lock the front door... I hardly use the back door to the house so it always stay locked... When I'm on vacation, I always lock the door to the room...

I do the same, as soon as my husband stepped out from the door! We are living in a foreign country that most of the people doesn't speak English so I really need to be careful and make sure the door was always lock. But my husband work in the same building where we lived, but in opinion its better to be safe than sorry. Have a nice day.

In the province, we don't usually lock our doors. Only before we go to bed. In the city, we ALWAYS lock our doors. Especially when we're alone. There have been news where young ladies were raped when they were home alone... we have to be careful. It IS a dangerous place.

yes, i do and i think we all should for security reason. it is better to be safe and sorry. better to lock it or regret later when something happen. we should cultivate this action as a good habit not only to ourselves but our family members especially young children. you can never trust what will happen when things goes wrong and it would be good to have this little protection at home.

I never used to, but got scared after hearing about a rash of break-in rapes. I live on the first floor of an apartment building so I figure there's a higher chance of someone breaking in (as opposed to climbing three flights of stairs to another room), even though I am in a quiet, pretty safe neighborhood. Paranoid I guess, but better safe than sorry!

YES! I have to. I live in an area that is very unfriendly, and there are people that are not so nice, and if you do not lock your doors if you are alone, then you are asking for it.

no, not through the day and seriously, these days robbers are way smart so really, if they wanted to get into your house and rob it, they wouldn't go through the dorr anyways...they would find another way to get in.

oh!! yes!! you have point!! but not only robbers would enter the house.. there are some crazy people, addicts and some other bad elements who would not only rob but abused or even kill somebody inside. So, to be safe, we should lock our doors if we are alone.

We like to lock the door as long as one of the family members is going out. In fact, we hardly scare of anything as we live in a very safe small place, which there is not much violence and criminals. But it is better safe than sorry. It is no harm to lock the door constantly.

Oh!! even if I am expecting a visitor if I am alone I still lock the door. Anyway, we have door bell, they can use that. But I am also watching at my window if someone has pull up in our driveway and I would know if my visitor has arrived.

Definitely yes.My hubby also reminds me to lock the door till he leves the house.he will wait at the door till i come and lock it.Sometimes it sounds funny. But it is essential now adyas.Anything can happen within fraction of seconds.Neighbours are not always at their doors.Till i come and lock the door, any stranger canstep in.So i think it is good in one way.

yeah, right!!! my hubby has the key, so every time he gets out he immediately lock the door and I have to check it also after he leaves to be sure. It is just funny because when our door bell rings, I have to peep of who is there before I will open the door. sometimes I don't open it even if the Fed-ex people will come to deliver something.

I usually only lock the door when I go somewhere. But when I'm at home alone, I normally don't lock my back door, which is the door I most commonly use. All the other doors in my house usually stay locked. Of course at night the back door is typically locked as well and definitely when I head to bed.

yes, it is always safe to lock all the doors at night. For me, I always lock the door everyday because I am always alone and I don't want that somebody would just get inside without my noticed.
