Which brand of donuts do you prefer?

We have lots of donut stores scattered on every mall. Dunkin Donut, Mister Donut, Country Style, Krispy Kreme, Go Nuts Donuts, and Hot Loops to name a few. My daughters love donuts whatever brand I buy, as long as they are donuts. If I don't have spare cash I just buy plain donuts coated with sugar from a nearby bakery. But personally I like Dunkin Donut's Choco Honey Dip, Butternut and Chocobutternut flavors. I really don't like other's brands because I find them too sweet. How about you?

My favorite brands of donuts are Krispy Kreme (couldn't say the same for their coffee, though), Dunkin Donuts (I love their iced coffee too) and Cielos (there's a branch along Katipunan Ave. that one of my office mates introduced me to). And yes, I'm a fan of donuts, preferably with a latte or two.

I have tried Krispy Kreme once or twice but I find them still too sweet. Well, sweet for me can't really be sweet to you, right? As for Cielo's, what's the difference of the donut to Dunkin Donuts. I would love to try that. Is it the one which I've read before which comes with assorted dippings and assorted sizes or am I wrong? I wish I can see one which is like that. I like to buy tiny donuts on small packs that I can dip on a very nice sauce.

Speaking of Krispy Kreme, if you are really a fan of it, I think they have an email membership where you can get to be emailed regularly of the promos and events sponsored by Krispy Kreme. Once or twice they have sent invitations to participate on their opening events where you have to be member to be able to attend it. They give free coffee and glazed donuts. I think they do this every time a new franchise is being opened. But usually they are being held at Mall of Asia. It's quite far from my home since I'm from Quezon City. Try it and who knows you may be able to win a one-year supply of Krispy Kreme as they give this as their usual prize.

*lol* I have a sweet tooth, obviously, but I can't really eat more than two Krispy Kreme donuts at a time. As for Cielo's, well, I treat it more like a cheaper version of Krispy Kreme. And yes, I think they do have tiny donuts with dips, though I haven't tried them yet. They have another outlet in Taft, I think.

I agree with you. I've heard of Krispy Kreme years ago but some people here in the Philippines were able to get franchise just recently. And now there are Krispy Kreme in the most famous malls nationwide. I just wish they make the price of their donuts a little bit cheaper so more will be able to afford it and taste it's amazing glazed flavor. But I bet that will not be happening sometime soon since I just heard from the news that the price of flour is getting higher and higher.

Dunkin Donut is very good but Krispy Kreme is my favorite. I like the chocolate filled the best. Give me one of those chocolate filled donuts and a fresh cup of coffee and I'm in heaven!

When we go to Krispy Kreme, since I fear too much eating of sweets, I just choose the glazed flavor. And one thing I like eating Krispy Kreme donuts is when you take them home and reheat them on oven, they do not get hard but still soft and warm. But I can't do this often since my kids' favorites are the one which has assorted candy bits on top and cookies and cream. I also love to buy them on boxes with themes, like the last one which had the theme of my university.

I also love the boston creme flavor but sometimes they are messy to eat, specially when it's my kid who are eating. The sauce are dripping here and there and the sugar chocolate cover are all over their shirts. For the coffee, I like the brewed coffee better on Mister Donut though. I also love Dunkin Donuts other products especially the croissant with ham and cheese on it.

Hmm, I would have to agree with you on this one. I love their chocolate covered doughnuts. They're delicious, just like the glazed ones are. Maaaan, now I want some doughnuts...hahaha.

Not only the donuts, if you are referring to Dunkin Donuts. I can also recommend the brownies. My favorite brownie there are the walnut brownies. I do not get to eat walnuts often because they are expensive when you buy them as they are. So when I want to eat walnuts, I'll just a piece or two of Dunkin Donut's walnut brownies. There are also the bunwiches when you want to eat something heavy and then pair it with their iced coffee.

My favorites tend to be the krispy kreme frosting filled chocolate donuts. I absolutely love those. If I have a craving those definitely fill it. If I can't afford krispy kreme, I tend to go to the corner donut shop and just buy the old fashioned donuts with the clear frosting coat on them, I love those with my tea in morning.

I haven't tried eating my donuts with tea, CAdreamer. Maybe I'll try to do that sometime. Well, I mean hot tea. I think donuts are also best with an ice cold tea. There is also a nearby bakeshop here on our place which sells plain donuts with sugar but sometimes, I do not trust much on buying from local bakeries because of sanitary reason. Sometimes I see ants and some mosquitoes on the nearest bakeshop here so even if we really crave for donuts, I just tell my kids to wait till we get to the mall to buy some.

I like my donuts glazed too MissGia. And the perfect combination for that is none other than Coffee! That is what I love about DD, they have actually nine sugar-free coffee flavors, did you know that? These are French Vanilla, Toasted Almond, Marshmallow Hazelnut, Coconut, Chocolate, Cinnamon, Caramel and Blueberry. I haven't imagine that coffees can have flavors like that. I wish I can try the Marshmallow Hazelnut since it sounds so delicious but I still have to fly to US to get that cup

I like the oens you get at Timm Hortons cause they have all kinds of good ones. I like all of them there but like the chocoloate ones the best cause I like chocolate. I buy some of the other ones to it depends on what we pass when I am in the mood for a donut:P

That is a Canadian brand of donuts, right? I searched on its site and I'm pretty attracted to the coffee main page. It looks really inviting. I can almost smell the brewed coffee. I think it won't be long before this brand comes to the Philippines. As I've searched, the brand is very concerned on the nutritional contents of their products. That is good as most Filipinos are already health conscious.

Well, "America runs on Dunkin'" and I think this is totally true. Many donut shops have come and gone, but Dunkin Donuts is still here. When I was in my country (the Philippines), Go Nuts Donuts was newly introduced. What I liked about it is that the donuts are still fresh-tasting after a day, unlike Dunkin'. Of course people love new things so it became an instant hit. When I visited a few months back during the summer, there were very few people in line. Then I saw Krispy Kreme. Like Go Nuts, they are too sweet for my taste. But then, Dunkin Donuts is still there, not threatened by competition and still doing good business. So, it's still Dunkin' for me. Flavors? I love everything!

Dunkin Donut's Butternut flavor... that's what I'm looking for whenever I stop by their store or kiosk. I don't know why, I just grew addicted to eating it ;)

Why, same as me! My father brought me one chocobutternut flavor when I was still a kid and eversince then, it became my favorite. I also like the butternut flavor but since I am chocoholic, the chocolate variety is more appealing for me. My husband just gets irritated sometimes when I buy some for my kids because they tend to be messy because of the crumbs. But I don't care since I can sweep them afterwards

I like Dunkin Donut and Mister Donut. The flavors and the variations of their donuts are most likely alike. Not too sweet. And the munchkins are really good.. Happy eating..

Yes, I totally forgot the munchkins. But I still prefer to buy those big donuts than the munchkins. That is because of the price. A munchkin costs I think three pesos each and when you combine them to make a single big donut, you will need four to five munchkins and that will be equivalent to twelve pesos where a single big donut costs only ten pesos. Sometimes I also buy munchkins on small packs just to make my kids happy bringing those cute packs

Krispy Kreme is tops but it way too expensive here in our country. Or am i just cheap? hehe. I can buy a hamburger with the price tag! I love Dunkin Donuts' Boston Creme. Mister Donuts are just too waxy for my taste.

I agree with you. But I think there's a reason on it why Krispy Kreme is quite is very expensive. I think it's because of the name that it carries. It's one brand that 's known internationally. Or maybe the ingredients are all being imported because I know for sure that they are making the donuts here. They can't make them outside the country and fly them in because they need to be fresh by the time consumers get them. Sometimes too much commercialism just add up unnecessary price increase on a certain product.

Dunkin donuts Apple crumb and boston creme

I haven't got the Apple Crumb flavor yet and I think it's not available in any franchise here in the Philippines. But we have the boston creme. What I wish for these donuts at DD is that we should have the sugar-free flavors. My in-laws are diabetic that's why we can't share the donuts to them whenever I buy donuts to take home. It will be a total hit also for people who are very much looking after their calories, right?

Is home delivery of Krispy Kreme available there in your country. I don't think they are doing that here in our country and I think there are no donut store here that does that. I think it's because donuts are cheaper compared to burgers and gasoline is quite hight. You have to order lots of donuts if you want to reach the minimum price to be able to have them home delivered. But I really wish a donut store will be able to do that idea so we can all have our donuts whenever we want them.

Do you know that Dunkin Donuts has a webpage. It's on www.dunkindonuts.com. I've just checked out the site but unfortunately, it's not appropriate for Philippine users but for American users only. It's a very nice site actually. You can shop online and you can use a Dunkin Donut Card to purchase. And I saw that there are more variety of sandwiches available on US franchises compared to our franchises here in the Philippines.

I am really just amazed on the American webpage of Dunkin Donuts. I've never imagined that there are lot more products being offered by Dunkin Donuts and now I realized why there are a lot of myLot users who also chose Dunkin Donuts as their favorite. I thought DD is famous here in the Philippines only. One, is that they have bagels. I like bagels and I get to eat it only from Country Style. And then the chocolate baked cookies available in Chocolate Chunk, Peanutbutter Cup and Oatmeal Raisin. Isn't that amazing! I wish we can just buy online and have them delivered at home.

I also like Go Nuts Donuts especially the packaging, yes, you are right. They have one branch here at SM Fairview and when I go there, I always buy the pack of three. It's so convenient and affordable if you just want to take home something for your kids that they will truly like. I also like the fruit shakes with icings. That's their main difference to Dunkin Donuts. But still these cold drinks are also quite expensive so I always try to control my urge especially when I see the icing on their posters.
