Our kitchen is definatly country with chickens. We have a wall shelf type thing that looks like a chicken coup we have chickens in ceramics, real feather ones, plates and pitchers with chickens. Our curtains are a gingham patchwork type. We have a white pantry cabinet that holds the microwave. Even our pots and pans go together. We have some lovely enameled cast iron pans that are orange colored, and some old fashioned looking cast iron pans (paula deen's pieces). Tell me about yours.

Country in a ecentric sorta way, like the rest of my house. lol The floor is actually linolium but with a wood-like design. Some people really think it's a wood floor till they take their shoes off. Only think that is definately country in my house is the floor-ceiling wood-burning fireplace that is really used. It's our main source of heat most of the winter. Only on the coldest nights/days do I turn the gas furnace on.

We have a fireplace but don't use it (its florida for pete's sake who needs a fireplace here?). I would love to live in a place where I could use a fireplace I love the smell of wood burning in a fireplace or stove.

My kitchen doesn't really have a particualar theme. It has some nice colors though. I have red, yellow, green blue. I have some nice nic nacs like decorative tea pots, vases, and other odds and ends. Oh, and I collect cows. I have a very small collection of some copper pots and tea kettles too. I am in the process of getting a computer table since my computer is on what is supposed to be my kitchen table, although there isn't any room for anyone to sit in the kitchen anyway.

At the moment this kitchen is mainly white/off white with those country apples and disgusting purple carpet. When I'm done with it it will be probably beige and white with pops of color coordinating with the living room and the floor will be a medium colored fake wood flooring. This house is currently just a hodge podge of things thrown together for no good reason. The plant stand in the kitchen is a Walmart style TV stand and the pantry cabinet looks more like an antique wood cabinet with multiple layers of paint...the last being a really odd mustardy yellow.

no, my kitchen does not have a theme. My Aunt's does. It's decorated with all kinds of cow stuff. People used to joke with her because her name is elsie, and this started them giving her all kinds of cow stuff. Before long, she had a house full of it, and it just stuck with her.
