The idea of Valentine Day in India is very old. It is related to both myth and relegion. The Hindu god Krishna was the king of Daroka, somewhere in the state of Gujrat in India. His meternal uncle Kongsa occupied the ktngdom of Daroka. Then Krishna was a child. His father and mother fled to Brindaban. Krishna became young and attrective. He was a flute player.Young girls were mad of him. His main fiance was Radha. She was a very attractive lady.Krishna was dark coloured.Radha was a fair lady. In every fullmoon of Spring Krishna and Radha went to the garden with their girl friends. They used to enjoy the night by throwing coloured water and coloured powder to each other. From that time the young Hindu boys and girls enjoy this colourful festival every year in the fullmoon of Spring(Month of Falgoon). The festival is called Rash Purnima. Is it not more interesting than Valantine Day ?
