I'm reading Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. I read science fantasy and will start Brisngr as soon as my son-in-law is finished with it. I loved the Eragon series.

Hi, I just finished reading the book "I Shall Not Hear The Nightingale" by "Khushwant Singh". It is a book based on a Punjabi family in India of the times before the India got it's independence. It is a book that engrosses the reader very well and personally I categorize it as a good read.

I just finished this mystery/ sci-fi book called You've Got Murder by Donna Andrews. It's really interesting with how the author created the main character Turing Hopper. I will hunt down the other books in the series to read at a later time to continue exploring about the character. Currently, I just took out The Bourne Ultimatum by Robert Ludlum from one of my bags (I stored them in there, lol) and haven't started yet. I already watched the movie so I'm going to try to read it now to compare. (Of course the plot is totally different regarding some events, but just saying I want to analyze more about the character.)

The Hobbit - The first edition cover of J. R. R. Tolkein's "The Hobbit".
The Hobbit, or There and Back Again is an award-winning children's book and fantasy novel by J. R. R. Tolkien, written in the tradition of the fairy tale. Tolkien wrote the story in the early 1930s to amuse his three sons. It was published on 21 September 1937 to wide critical acclaim, being nominated for the Carnegie Medal and awarded a prize from the New York Herald Tribune for best juvenile fiction. More recently, The Hobbit has been recognized as the "Most Important 20th-Century Novel (for Older Readers)" by the children's book magazine Books for Keeps. The book has sold an estimated 100 million copies worldwide since first publication.
The last book I've read is Roverandom, a story written by J.R.R. Tolkien, originally told in 1925. It deals with the adventures of a young dog, Rover. In the story, an irritable wizard turns Rover into a toy, and Rover goes to the moon and under the sea in order to find the wizard again to turn him back into a normal-sized dog. The author wrote Roverandom for his son Michael Tolkien to amuse him upon the loss of his favorite toy — a little lead dog. Currently I am reading Writing Down The Bones by Natalie Goldberg. As a creative writer I always try to read books that I feel will inspire me and challenge me to see writing in a new or creative way. Everytime I read more of this book I become sad because that means it is coming closer to the end. This book has made me think of writing in more ways than i did before. I see thinks in new ways and my creativity really opens up. If there is anyone out there who writes you need to read this book. It will do wonders for you...I promise.
