Big cities in the USA and Canada

I have been to Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco. I went to Disneyland, Beverly Hills, Hollywood and Venice Beach. I liked the Pacific Coastline, especially Santa Barbara. It was wonderful when I saw the Golden Gate Bridge. I traveled around by train once I had flown there. My train was five hours late and arrived at midnight. I had the choice out of a free hotel or free taxi. So my half and hour taxi journey cost Amtrak $40. Have you been to any of the cities in the USA or Canada? If so what did you see in the cities that you went to? If not which cities in the USA or Canada would you like to explore?

I love to visit big cities because I like to see what they are all about. I have visited a few big cities in the United States from New York City, Orlando, Boston, Philadelphia, Newark, New Haven, Atlanta, Charlotte, San Juan, and a few others around the east coast. I have never been to the west coast of the United States but I would love to visit California and also Las Vegas which is a beautiful city. I think my favorite city that I have seen so far on everything it has its probly San Juan because it has a historic side to it and it has a modern side to it which its what makes it a major tourist attraction. I also enjoy New York City because of its beautiful skyline and lights that it has all around the city. I would honestly love to visit Canada because I have a list of cities that I would like to visit just because of friends that I have that have been there and I have seen pictures of how beautiful the cities are. One trip I am planning to take it to Niagra Falls and also to Toronto. I think Canada is a beautiful country and there has been an increase of population lately since the country has been improving little by little. I also like to visit Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, and Ottawa. I think Canada has a lot of beautiful places from the pictures I have seen and I would love to visit all of them.

Thank you so very much for your excellent response. I think that going to New York would be amazing having seen so it in so many movies. It is wonderful that you have visited so many different cities in the USA. I hope that you will go to Canada and visit Toronto, the falls, Montreal, Ottawa, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. San Juan sounds like a stunning place. Happy traveling.

No disrespect to my American friends but the USA is not a place I really ever desire to go to my friend, it just doesn't interest me, I am sure it is a wonderful place but my heart is set on New Zealand, Sweden and Ireland and would even consider Canada, I have a very good friend who lives in Canada who I have adopted as my sister she always says to me I would be very welcome over there and where she lives is very tolerant and easy going, so maybe, one day, I have to blush to say I don't know what part of Canada she is from, but I will ask next time I chat to her!

Oh, it is lovely that you have a good friend that you have adopted as a sister from Canada. Maybe she lives near Toronto. Perhaps you might be able to visit her on your way to New Zealand. The reason why I have been to California and Hawaii was my trip around the world and to go to New Zealand. I would be delighted to go to Boston, New York, Washington DC, Seattle and Vancouver. I totally understand that you want to concentrate on getting to Ireland, Sweden and New Zealand.

I have been to Baltimore, Kansas City, Wichita, and Washington DC. DC I visited when the Cherry trees were in bloom. It was so beautiful. I travelled by bus from kansas to Washington DC. We did not stop much on the way. We just drove through St Louis. It looked like a nice place. I would like to see San Fransico, Seattle, New York and Chicago. I would like to travel around for a long time both in the US and in Canada really. have some great friends I'd like to see. Most of them live in the countryside though. In the Midwest. In old cowboy land.

I am sure that the cherry trees made it look really scenic. It must have been so exciting to go to Washington DC. I hope that you go back to the USA and Canada to visit all your friends that live in the Midwest.

I really loved living on the west coast. California is an amazing place! I am not much for large cities, as I am not too comfortable among large groups of people, but LA seemed to have everything one could be looking for as far as entertainment. Las Vegas is a big adult playground, which I love. Dallas, TX has some interesting things here and there. Nashville is not all about country music. I think you can find interesting things in many large or well known cities.

I hope that you will go to lovely San Diego one day. It might be superb to go there in the summer and then you could swim from one of its beaches.

I have been to Vancouver - used to live there, and now I live in Winnipeg. I went to Edmonton, and passed through the outskirts of Toronto. We also drove through the edge of Boston. And there were some other places, I do not remember. So far that is the extent of the big cities I have been. I would like to go to New York City, but so far it is impossible.

i have never been in USA or in canada. but i will surely want to visit canada or USA. i think both are beautiful country. but my relatives are in canada and so most probably i will go to canada in the future. but i will like to cross boundary if ever i have become a citizen already in the future in canada. but i think that we can still cross boundary to USA as a tourist. anyways, i have seen so many beautiful places about USA on movies and some other tourist programs and about Canada also of course . my relatives sent us beautiful pictures of the places that they have been in canada. and i actually love those pictures. i am dreaming to go to those places in the pictures. i don't think that we have those beautiful place in my country. but we have beautiful places but totally different from what you see in your coutry and in canada.

I've been to Portland, OR, San Franciso, Los Angeles, Miami, Des Moines (not really THAT big) and Orlando. I'm not much into big cities though so I actually prefer the countryside.

I'm a Philippine national, I hope you know Philippines. And I haven't been to any of the cities you mentioned. But one of my ultimate dreams is to go to US and Canada. My aunt who is in Nevada says just how beautiful America is. I am so inspired by the pictures and stories she shared. And so, I'm really striving hard to do the best I could so as to get a job abroad. Hahaha... can you help me? :)

Its nice to know that you have traveled to so many cities. Being myself fond of travelling and an adventurous person, I always like to explore the world, people and places around me. Although I have been living in Canada since last 8 months, but I have visited two cities here, one is Canada's capital, i.e Ottawa, I went there in last may, for a Youth Conference, and then we even went to Montreal, a beatiful province, where Olympics were also held once, we went to a musuem there, as well I wanted to see the Parliament of Canada, and we went there too, along with all the Youth and energetic participants of the conference. After few months of that conference, I went to Edmonton city, which is the capital of Alberta, the famous thing there is the Edmonton Mall, I went there with my friends and brother, and we even went inside the fiesta, had water rides so many times and had much fun. I am looking forward now to explore Tonronto and Vancouver in future. And yes one thing I forgot to mention, the most buetiful town I wanted to see was Banff in Canada, we went there a month ago, specially I had to do boating in Lake Lousie, and it was an awesome experience, plus one of the beauty of the world, I would recommend Canadians to do visit once there in summer. And yes, I have a plan to travel different US cities too.
