Do you read other responses before responding to any discussion?

I generally do not read the responses given by other member about the topic of discussion. I feel that my opinion is not going to change whatever the response or opinion others are having. I do not read what others want to say and just give my response to almost all the discussion. But sometimes when I read the responses of other members I do feel like contributing to that point also. And then I do make comments on that response too. It does not matter if I had posted that discussion or someone else had done it. What do you do?

I consider discussion as three general type, First, a discussion asking for general opinion on something. This kind of discussion are like asking "How much you earn in myLot?", "How many post you make per day". For this kind of discussion i won't read other's respond because they won't affect my respond. Second, discussion that asking for problem solving. For this, i will read at others opinion and the starter's respond on the respond others give. I will look what he/she really need. Then i will try to say it in a way i think he/she can accept. Third, discussion to gain concern. For this, sometimes i will read some responds but i won't read all.

I read the discussion and I respond if I have something to add or say. I may read the other responses after making my own response just out of curiosity. Cheers!!

Yes, curiosity is quite natural and that helps to know lot of things which we would have never learnt.

That is right way. If you are very clear about what you think about something then there is no point in changing your opinion just by reading somebody else's opinion.

Sometimes I do it totally depends on the discussion I am looking at. I like to see what other people think on issues. It expands the mind. I love that aspect with this site. There are so many things that you can learn here. Its awesome that way and you can make a lil bit as well.

Yes I do, it's just fair enough on your side to get other people's opinion, do not deny others your opinion simply because they might not change, people are static but our opinions do change after being influenced or informed. But to do them good do not judge them on what they might not do or what they may do
