I try to go on past experiences but often my feelings get in the way and this is what I end up going on . It is hard to stop feelings from leading you even though you know in your heart you really should go on past experiences rather then on just your feelings . Different situations are different as well as some you know exacalty what you are going to do but for the most part feelings are there as well even when you go on past experiences .

Sometimes I have a question or task to do then first what I do is to silent myself that is stop all thoughts wandering inside head. When I am able to achieve this then I focus on the task and start planning how to achieve the target by making some guidelines for myself. Everyday I keep some target and check in the evening if I am achieved the task of the day. This way I figure out my work at hand.

I try to use a little but of both. Both working together can be a bigger help then trying to go at it alone with just one. Experience and feelings can only take you so far alone. Used together will help you figure out stuff better.

I usually based things on my experience but sometimes, I would trust my instinct or feelings and make a go for it.

It totally depends on what it is I am trying to figure out.Quite often I go with my gut feelings though. They have never steered me wrong yet. Experience does have its role at times, especially when helping someone else figure something out.
