How Can I Win Over Worry

We all know what worry is. It is when you are not certain what life may bring forth. It is when you know for certain that the bill is coming soon and you have any single penny to pay for it. It is when you know that the deadline of your works is almost near and you are not yet ready to beat it. As someone once put it,worry is like "a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but it gets you nowhere." I believed that each one of us has a desire to win over worry. Well, for me winning over worry include our decision to trust God in everything. To understand that He (God) is always in control of our life...what about you?

Worry results from unpreparedness and unplanned things. Worry will be minimized if careful planning and preparation will be undertaken beforehand. But along the course of any journey whether small or big, unexpected things beyond our control happen.Natural calamities, circumstances, people's reaction and attitudes that are beyond us. It is very important that we have a clear grasp of the root cause or source of or worries so we can act accordingly and relevantly. For me it works when I am able to sit down and classify my worries as to: 1.the weakness of my plan- we can always control this by going back to our plan and see where did it go wrong is it in the implementation or control, once we have established this, it is easier to trouble shoot. 2.The circumstances beyond our control i.e. natural calamities and force majeur 3. People reaction or attitude- This factor is the most delicate, we must ensure first a buy in of our idea before we can be assured of successful transition and cooperation. So with this in mind, when I am tempted to panic to worry, I sit down and assess these factors and by doing so I can take captive of thoughts that are irrational and baseless.

Worrying indeed is a cycle. it will never come to stop. Because we live in this mad, fallen world. As for me, I have put away that habit and started to lean and trust on Jesus. Jesus is my only rest. Now, I am worry free...just enjoying life as it comes. Big bills, small bills, money matters, health problems..they are the same. They make us feel we have nowhere to go and then start to make us feel so weak and sick. Which shoudln't be the case. We are here in this world to enjoy life! And not to worry. Jesus teaches me not to worry..and now my mouth has shut up. Worrying is a bondage too!

Yes you are Right. If we will always allow worries to overcome us, then, we can't able to experience God's peace in our heart...Because in the midst worrying Jesus said to His disciples: "Peace I leave unto you..."

Yes. Now I know why Jesus said in the Bible "Come to me all of you who are weary and I will give you rest." He surely knows what we humans are going through each day. He knows how our mind and feeling works. That's why He is offering us PEACE.It's just sad some people are making it hard to believe just that. Eventhough how simple it is. Man is stubborn enough to stay away from that simple TRUTH that can set him free. I am glad , I have come to know and accepted Jesus..if I didn't I might still be in my worry-box today.Jesus has indeed liberated me from that state. He has quite my soul inspite of what's going on around us..There's rest..He is my refuge from all these.:)

Worry is a senseless (un-natural) waste of time. Project your thoughts forward so you can see the problem fixed, then rewind so you can see the steps needed to get to the solution. Stop worrying and start thinking forward.

Yes, that's a wonderful suggestion...Better to plan ahead and make some fall-back position, always evaluate your decisions before putting it into action. Always be cautious towards every matter.--Thanks.

To every problem there is a solution waiting to be found. It's like an adventure, I think. Embrace it and I do consult with my Higher Power to guide me. I wouldn't over think things but be receptive.

I believe many of us have struggled with so much worries every time we encountered difficult situation but for me worry is a choice. We can have power over worry if we choose to depend on God and have strong faith and let Him do His work instead of focusing on our present problems. We can only do it when stop meditating on our problems and start meditating on God's word which could enlighten us and help us fight worries.
