The one thing I HATE about election time is the amount of propaganda that we (Americans) have to deal with. Everything that the media puts out is all bias (you can tell which news programs/newspapers etc... lean toward which candidates). They like to do "play on words" all the time & take things both candidates say out of context and spin it to make it news worthy. It just bothers me that we have the nerve to look at other countries (especially middle eastern countries) and talk about them and the propaganda that is spread around to promote different religions or terriorist groups....but we do the same thing in the US. I feel like this presidential election is like a chess or football game. Who is going to make the next move? Audibles going on. McCains not going to the debate/ now he is going to the debate etc... I wish we could just talk about their platforms and that's it. Anyone else agree?

I agree! It is such a waste of money, time and effort. If we put that all into something that the candidates say they are really care about, we would be ahead. However, that is never going to happen because this is the way competition works in our society. What a shame!

Yes, I agree. Less bashing would be nice but unfortunately I don't think it is going to happen. You are correct that we should talk about their platforms - I have to say though that the big disappointment for me so far is that neither candidate has a clear platform to fix our economy - for instance both are pretending that the huge bailout to try and fix the banking system is not going to affect their future spending plans and priorities when they reach office, but we know that it is bound to: there will be virtually no money left in the kitty for any spending priorities and some painful financial decisions will have to be made. But both candidates are not being honest with the American people about this.

i agree it should be more about what they stand for rather than who the better speaker is or something along those lines
