Have you ever had to stop and help someone in a car accident?

This past Saturday night me and my best friend was heading back to my house. Where my husband was watching our kids. We started to do onto the freeway and seen this huge cloud of what looked like fog,and the car in front of us,using it's break lights then it's emergency lights. Confused we slowed drove thru the cloud. There was a small bit of a clearing, and we seen a SUV flipped onto it's side(passenger side). My friend asked me if we should stop, since the car in front of us had yet no one had gotten out of the car yet. My friend glanced in her rear view mirror and seen a head pop out of the SUV. We got out and went to the SUV and you could hear muffled echoing sounds of children crying. When we got around to where the top of the SUV was,we seen this boy maybe 5 or 6 standing there pounding on the top of the SUV screaming "mommy mommy" My friend convinced him to come to her and she picked him up,the lady that pulled over in front of us had finally made it to the SUV. then we seen the mother of the boy pop her head out of the driver side window, screaming "save my kids" Then little fingers popped up in the back driver side window, and this little blond boy started screaming and crying with what looked like smeared blood on his forehead. I ran over and did my best to pull him out,I am short and have a really bad back so this was no easy task but somehow after a few tries managed to get him out of the wrecked SUV. Cops arrived and helped get the mother out. But her friend was still trapped. the mother smelt of booze my friend told me later, and she kept saying her friend was driving but it didn't add up in my mind. So this got me to thinking, would you stop? Have you stopped to help? Do you have a story of this kind?

There was a fender bender in front of us one time, and we sat there and called the cops, and waited until they got there, but other than that we've never been witness to a really bad car accident. If I ever was though I would definitely stop to help. It makes me feel good to see people helping complete strangers, it makes me think there's hope for our world yet.

We did, but we were lucky and it only had one person in it. They had went into a spin on the ice, and went into a field and no one was hurt. Thank goodness.
