Can the Redsox do it again? Are the Rays for real or will they fall apart in the post season? Is this finally the year for the Cubs? Can the Brewers get their and win it after a 26 year playoff drought? Or maybe the Angels will win it all. Who's your pick?

I know this probably won't happen but i really hope the Yankees do it. If they are way out I hope the cubs do it. My father in law loves them.

Sorry to have to tell you this but the Yankees actually missed the playoffs. The Cubs, however, made it and have a great chnce of winning it all.

Sorry to disappoint EAStanley but the cubs are destined to win the 2008 world series. The last time they won was in 1908 exactly 100 years ago, and in 1907 they made the playoffs and didnt win and low and behold the very next year, 1908, they won. In 2007 the cubbies made the playoffs and didnt win and now 2008 made the playoffs again. So you see its a 100 year tradition, that is going to happen and nothing can stop it. Its fate baby!!! And todays 1st game was just a warm up; we'll get it back. I just hope the Sox and the Cubs dont both make it to the world series; im from Chicago and the riot (pun intended lol!) will be insane no matter which team wins, the city will tear itself apart. What do got against the Cubs anyway?

Go Boston! I have been a HUGE fan of them for many years and would love to see them repeat. Boston really needs Beckett to be on top of his game in the ALCS.

living in ny I have been a redsox fan since '98. I guess I'm still kinda shocked that a team I root for actually won a championship. I have never felt that boston was the strongest team in the A.L east. I allways feel that they beat the crap outta every 1 during the year except the yankees. I don't know if they can repeat or even get past the rays because they have a very weak bullpen. I don't get to see alot of redsox games, but from the few games I see, they use Justin Masterson out of the bullpen to set up papllebon. Masterson is good but he's not really a set up man. Half the guys in their bullpen they hardly use. As much as I would like the sox to win another title, I'm not sure about this year. Dice k had a very good record, but he has a vey high pitch count. In his 1st 8-0 starts, he had an average of 5 innings picthed with 8 walks. I believe thats why you don't hear him mentioned in the cy young talks. The sox have won twice in several yrs, but you can't win all the time. They said the cubs were the best team in the league this year, and now they are on an early vacation. It must really suck to be a cubs fan.We all knew the brewers didn't have a chance the day we heard Ben Sheets was out for the year. Plus they pitched CC sabathia like 8 games back to back...lol. There was no way they were gonna pitch him that much and still win. I really though the angels were gonna beat the crap outta the sox based on how they played them during the year. But when you get to the post season, regular season stats don't matter. I think thhe angels are getting the same treatment from the redsox that the redsox use to get from the yankees when they would beat boston every year in the playoffs. Josh becket isn't at full stregnth, and with a weak bullpen, will be very surprised to see boston advance to the world series.

That's a good question actually. With the Red Sox struggling on the road, it does not bode well but I would not count them out so easily. I still think they are the favorites considering they were the defending World Series Champs. The Brewers their 1st appearance in the National League. Remember, they were in the American League when they went to the post-season. I think right now I may go with the Angels. I think Fox wants the Red Sox to win but I'm afraid they may not get what they want. The other team I could see winning it could be the Brewers. CC has been sharp there and makes me scratch my head on why Cleveland got rid of him but I'll save that for another day. Final pick, I'm going with the Angels, they just seem to be too strong of a team to fall down so easily.

As a Sox fan, I would love to see them repeat. However, because I AM a long-time Sox fan, I can appreciate that the fan base of other teams are deserving of having their team winning. I think this is a great post-season line up of teams. The Brewers and the Cubs are due for a championship; as well, the Rays would be a great worst-to-first story for all of baseball. I am pleased that the Sox made the playoffs this year, but if they don't take the championship I would like it to be the Cubs or the Rays. It is baseball, and anything can happen as evidenced by the 2004 playoffs with the Sox in a come from behind victory in game 4 against the Yankees to go on and win it all. I wouldn't count any of these teams out.
